(dsm) Wobbling at 30mph sometimes, doesnt wobble at 65mph+ ?

So my car wobbles while driving… like steering wheel violently shaking while at 30mph… but it only does it sometimes at that speed

doesnt do it while going fast, or any other time, and doesnt do it all the time

the car needs a new axles, but ive never felt a car wobble with a bad axle (just clicks)

My 3rd gear is also taking a poop, ive never done 2/3 pulls, it’s just regular driving, it downshifts into 3rd fine, but upshifting into third it grinds 95% of the time unless u shift at like 1500rpms (nothnx)

i was thinking maybe it’s the synchro, or maybe dsms just suck this bad… i know they have weak 3rd synchros or something right?

but this is like the 4th blown tranny on this car, so i was wondering if something was fucked up with the linkage

thanks for any help

the shaking always happens to me during the winter, and like every customer that comes into valvoline, did ya check for ice caught under the front? try kicking and breakin that shit loose and you should be fine, if thats the case, otherwise i would think unblanaced tires

for the tranny, i dont think dsms suck, every kind of car has its own special problems and the only thing ive heard of is crank walk, maybe you just got a shitty tranny, neon9798 is fine with his and that trannys got an assload of miles

it does it when it’s warm out too… well warm enough where there isnt ice… it was doing it that one day we had where it was 40 out

unbalanced tires would make it pull to the right… like really hard to the right

woobling could be a number of things first things first check your lugs. uneven tread ware unbalanced tires mismatched tires. wheel bearing could be the source. also if there’s ice in the wheel wells as said in the previous post.

As far as the tranny most of the 1g trannys are notchy mine used to have a real bad grind with anything over 3grand going into second gear. drained the fluid put in pennzoil syncromesh sold at autozone. And it fixed my grinding issue. Thats your only chance of getting fixing besides Changing the tranny  any questions pm me

I had the same problem last winter it was a wheel bearing.

But it could be different in your case.

I’ll check my lugs tomorrow n tighten them all, i dont think its the wheel bearing… it doesnt hum, just wobbly lol

maybe it is ice, it’s just really bad lol… its never happened with any of my other cars

edit: my car has penzoil synchromesh now in it :frowning:

dont worry ill have a spare trans for you

lol ight lmk, u gettin a shep?

Non-constructive post: Lawl, my friends 2g Eclipse did this too.

The wheel thing or the trans?

Dunno what it was but it would shake until you hit 65+, pretty sure he totalled it before it got fixed or else I’d ask.

I dont have these problems, i am rich as fuck i dont drive shitty DSM’s. Fggt

lol @ if he totaled it because of this problem

the shitty dsm is just a cover up for my ballerness :snky:

tire balance

bad axles

wheel bearing

loose lugnuts

all problems that could cause a wobble at certain speeds and not others

id check tire balance first

Naw, he drove like a dick and totalled at least 3 of his cars.

how do u check tire balance? just take it to a shop and have them rebalanced?
i have summer rims with proxes4, i can throw those on and see if it makes a difference… it’s just so fuckin cold out that i dont wanna do it because it’s outside lol

i’m only going to be driving the car for a few more days til it goes away…
it’s just really annoying and i dont want to die lol

ya, just throw on another set of rims that you know are good, or take it to a tire shop, if they dont need balancing they wont charge much to check them

scrape the packed in snow out from inside your wheels

screw you RICH BOYYYYYYYYYYYY! lol

Do you have an extra shell for him too, he might be better off with one
