Actually it’s been very reliable. Not always the case with these and you never know, but yeah for me it’s been a total joy so far. Nothing has actually failed on the car (except a $48 turn signal relay part, fixed it myself).
With that said, the last owner neglected some bigger maintenance items so I spent a good chunk of change getting all new fluids, 2 sets of tires, timing belt/water pump as preventitive maintenance, and also replaced 2 control arms and an EGT sensor.
But I got a decent deal on it at the time, and it was the more rare black w/ 6-speed & tints.
I guess the only thing with the S4 is that if stuff DOES go wrong, potentially it can get rather expensive real fast (both turbos need replacing at same time requiring engine pull, slightly pricier parts etc).
Can’t just “throw an SR in it” or grab a $300 KA block haha.
But yeah, totally worth it.
