$4750 2000 Audi S4 project!

Hey all,

I’m currently working on this project. I want to have a pristine running Audi S4 for under $5000.

I found an Audi S4 for $4800. It has bad seals in the turbos so it leaks a good amount of oil into the exhaust. I talked the guy down to $4200, and picked it up with the flat bed.

The cars details:

2.7L TT
6 speed
Premium package
Power sun roof
Power windows
Power locks
Power seats
Bose stereo
Car phone(LOL)
Heated seats
Heated windshield washer nozzles
Heated side mirrors
Leather
Cruise
Trip computer
Climate control

APR stage 1 software
130,000 Miles on the car.

Things that came with the car:
Receipts for:
Timing belt, Waterpump, Pullies, and thermostat(10k Miles ago)
New control arms, power steering rack (11k miles ago)
New tires 1000 miles ago
New brakes(rotors and pads) 10k miles ago
+various oil changes and other stuff.

When we got home we put the dealer plate on the car and test drove it. We got 10 miles before the exhaust smoke was noticeable. Parked it and now I ordered parts.

-I’m buying two used k03 turbos off of Justin on here today
-I have a k03/k04 gasket, stud, and hardware kit.

I’m gonna start tearing it apart tomorrow. I’ll give you a heads up when the time comes.

Got the turbos.

Little(Nothing bad) shaft play, but no damage to the blades what so ever, Clean low mileage turbochargers.

I’m not trying to spend 5 grand for a ko4 setup especially when I know I’m not
Keeping this car.

Got two hours of work time.

First thing I did today was go to harbor freight. I picked up 2 new jackstands(Now i have 4 thank god) A cheap jack, some allen head sockets and a bunch of other stuff.

Then I went to work. I pulled the car into the shop, and found out something gay. The car is too low to be put on our lift(FML)

No big deal, I jacked the car up, put it on stands.

Pulled the headlights, foglight shrouds, the bumper, and the front clip. The whole jobs done I just need to bring a bucket with me sunday(The next day I’m working on it) to drain the coolant.

I also need to pull the intercoolers.

Doesn’t that motor have to come out to replace turbos?
