This day has been a long time coming and I am happy to say WE DID IT! All the upgrades paid off and we ran Wed and Thurs with a best of 220.7 mph at 27.41 seconds. This beats the current record held by a gasoline car at 217.85
I must agree that it is biased to include the 5.8 million kilowatt hours of solar energy into his equation as it is energy that would not be utilized otherwise.
I think in the long run this is what we will all be filling our tanks with if and when oil becomes to scares regardless of the price it cost to produce E86.But why hate something that doesnt harm the car and extends our oil reserves a bit further and helps out the farmers who have been hurting for a real cash crop.

Because its just a temp fix that is going to do more damage then good. What do you think is going to happen to the price of any corn based food? More farmers are going to sell their crops for fuel production then as food, so the prices will go up. A long with that other farmers will switch over to producing corn and other foods will go up.
Then we get into how badly this is going to fuck up the environment from completely depleting the soil from just growing one crop over and over again to contaminating the water system from all the fertilizer and such.
Ya it sounds great until you start looking into all the fine details
Oil execs have already stated that they are not going to spend 100s of millions on exploration and refineries if alot of the pending legislation goes through. Why waste their capital when they are required give up some market share?

They aren’t going to spend the money on the refineries anyway. They want to, we just won’t let them. They’ve wanted to build new refineries for the last 20 years but the liberal douchebags keep crying about the environment and blocking them.
But it’s ok, places like Iran and Venezuela are building refineries like crazy right now, so soon we’ll be dependent on those two countries that hate us for the gas and the oil. But I’m sure by then the liberals will have a plan to run our country on sunshine and farts so everything will be ok.
Dont go to war over trying to get oil laiden countries to love us.
IT DOESNT WORK.
Just like e85 is the biggest waste of thought and time. Spend more time allowing diesel and biodiesel cars to run in all 50 states and life would be much much better.
