Ebay/PayPal is ridiculous

So I sold a few things on ebay. Well I check my paypal to see the payments have been made but I cannot touch them until 21 days or untill the buyer has left positive feedback about the item.

SO I call up paypal to see if theres anything they can do and to explain this stupid policy they put into effect last year. So he tells me that because even though my paypal is verified, they can stick their hands in my bank account… which they have done before i might add, know all my info down to my SS#, that because I only have 3 items sold on ebay prior that thats not enough for them and they will not release the funds. So because I’m not some big seller on ebay I have to wait up to a week maybe more however long fed ex takes to get it there to touch the money.

It’s stupid, obviously if I fucked the guy over they could get the money back and take legal action, they have all my information. I told him all this and all he said was “Because you do not have a bigger selling history on ebay we cannot release the funds until positive feedback is left”

Welcome to Paypal, the worst customer service on the planet.

o god dont get me started…

Strange…

Although I can’t say anything I have never had a problem with paypal. I have sold and purchased a lot through EBay.

Ive sold/bought so much stuff on ebay.
ALOT of my sales are nico through paypal.

I have yet to have one problem. Besides this dickface which i sent out a ka24de crank, said in the ad its from a 95, and its got 140K on it. He got it and reported it to payapl that the ad said it was a brand new racing crank and wanted his money back. They took the money outta my account with 20 mintues of him sending in the claim. I got a text and quickly told them the HTTP Address to the ad. Shit was reversed 20 days later :Idiots

Well its not so much paypal as it is ebay…

Ebay has guidelines when it comes to payment that paypal has to follow according to the guy I talked to… They are the same company.

Every other person to person transaction off a forum or something of that nature has been just fine.

Except for when I bought my turbo parts they wouldent approve the 400 dollars I sent to the guy for some retarted reason

thats rediculous… yet makes sense… but s-cks…

Usually they only do it with things of “brand” names or high costs. Most of my coach stuff, even though I have sold over 300 items and have 100% feedback, they do that with the payment. Its real gay but thats why I ship UPS and they get it in about a day & I send an email to remind them to leave feedback.

paypal doesnt care about either person in the transaction as long as they get their money. i was actually able to beat them at their own game once though. i had bid on a full-race turbo kit about 4 years ago, and wont he bid about 2600 dollars, the owner claimed to have wrecked his GSR and no longer needed the turbo kit. this was a stage 4 turbo kit with a gt40r, i had contacted full-race myself though to try and validate the legitimacy of the sale though. full-race told me there is no way that this guy owns one of these kits, i assume because they hadnt sold many of these kits. my payment had already been sent earlier in the day though. so i contacted paypal and told them that i had spoken with the manufacturer and he assured me that i will be scammed, they said i had to wait until the product didnt arrive before i could make a claim and try to reverse the payment. of course paypal wouldnt cover the 2600 they would only give me back $1000 if that who knows that actual policy, and the other 1600 would only be given if he had 1600 in his paypal account.

rather than wait to be scammed i called up my bank and told them to cancel the payment. so paypal didnt get a penny, i of course never recieved the product, i filed a claim, he didnt respond, paypal said i was the victim. because i was already verified, once paypal gets the ok from the bank that i have the money it shows in his paypal account and he can withdraw it, before they knew i had cancelled the payment. so as it turns out he actually got the $2600 and paypal got nothing from me. soon after realizing this they started calling me asking me for the money. i asked them if this was gonna be on my credit report they said no, i said you are lucky, and i told them i filed a claim and won, i received nothing, so who am i giving money to for what. i told them that i tried to stop this from the beginning they couldnt do that so i took care of things myself, i am the victim here, go after the guy trying to scam me, and dont call me again.

my paypal account was closed, and i couldnt use it again.

i also sold my motor and received payment over paypal, gave the guy a motor in person, because the money was already in the account, and paypal took the money back months later no questions asked. told paypal what happened, they said i need to deal with it legally. i had to get the police on his ass they didnt do much at first told me i had to go to his state to pursue legal actions, traveled to his house, and get the cash back from him personally 6 months later.

^^^ Holy mother of god :ohnoes.

GL Mack. And thanks for not stoping the other day… instead you gave me a quick 1900rpm’s of VG30ET fury… :frowning:

mike you gotta stop buying/selling shit online, your cursed

yep, that pisses me off, they take the money away without even hearing your side of the story, thats happened to me twice!

FYI, ebay owns Paypal.

I know this… This was part of my argument in the phone conversation.

“If ebay sets the guidelines, and your company is owned by ebay, you have the ability to release the funds”

“yes sir”

“Then why cant you release the funds after seeing for yourself even the few things I’ve sold I have positive feedback and im a verified paypal member for the past 2-3 years, and you have every piece of my financial information that you would need to stick your hands in my bank account”

“because ebay says we cannot sir, you have to meet one of these requirements”

Its funny now that Ebay makes you have to offer to accept PayPal payments and not just other types of payment. So they collect listing fees, closing fess and transaction fees. Ebay is a rediculous in charges I hate ebay for numerous reasons.

HOLY SHIT!

They release my monehz!!!
