I have something listed as an auction that will end tomorrow. Someone with 0 feedback asked me if I would ship internationally to Ireland. I don’t really deal too much on eBay so I don’t know what to look for.
My question is, what do I need to know if I this guy wins my bid, or what should I tell him?
I had an auction with no international and a guy from Taiwan or something asked me to ship. I added $50 to the invoice, he paid I shipped. This guy had a good 100 or so feedback though.
it gives you all the money at once. I would get a quote for it to be shipped and just tell him how much it will be. if he wins the auction and he doesn’t pay the rest for the extra shipping you can just cancel the transaction
if he pays via paypal and claims he never got his item and you can’t provide a tracking # your out the money
happened to me once, I even had a pic of the postmarked package to Sweden , customs forms, you name it, no tracking number paypal no care, bastard most likely got his item and got his $$ back
^^^^^^
if he pays you with paypal you NEED TO HAVE A TRACKING NUMBER
otherwise he will file a claim and even after the money goes into your paypal account they will take it right back…
i got scammed selling injectors to a guy in australia and made the mistake of having my gf ship it for me…she didnt get a tracking number but luckily i transfered the money otu of my paypal account in time
I used to ship all over the world, but I’ve stopped for the most part. First class mail has no tracking, just delivery confirmation, which means you’re screwed if it doesn’t get delivered. I’ve never had anyone try and scam me on something that actually showed up as being delivered though. I had a lot of things take over a month to arrive, or they just vanished, and I got sick of keeping anxious people at bay. Priority Mail has tracking and insurance and I’ve never had a problem there, but it’s expensive unless you can fit it in the tiny flat rate box. (Not sure how big an ecollar is). I just don’t advertise international shipping, and if someone asks, I can consider it based on feedback and other factors.
I sold that stupid video game on eBay a few weeks ago, guy paid $105 for it then an additional $95 to ship it to France. It actually cost $70 to ship, so I made $25 off of shipping
Is it big? I just used the estimator, worked well for me
