Hey everyone im thinking about gettin my eclipse turbocharged. I wanna do it myself as a learning experience. I am just curious if I could find a kit for under a 1000, and could you share any helpful info if you’ve done it before.

what year is it? if its a 2nd gen non turbo u wont be able to find one for under a grand that’s a name brand kit and if its a 1st gen you would be better off selling it and buying a turbo car due to the price and work involved
Agreed. unless you want an ebay turbo which i DO NOT RECCOMEND. Yes a 2nd gen is a money pit in the turbo department, and with a 1st gen non turbo you would have to change everything out for turbo and with the cost of that you could but a decent 1st gen turbo awd.
he has a 3rd gen. no, you will not find a kit that’s worth a shit for under a grand. If you want to do it right, you’ll need to triple that amount.
Or you can do it on the cheap and blow your shit up, and pay a bunch more.
sell the 3rd gen and buy a clean 2gb gsx . It will make your life alot easier and you have a faster, better looking car imo.
