"Emission test" needed...nudge nudge....

Its for a 1989 E190 2.6. The car is not for sale, I am putting it on the road because it is cheaper than BOTH in gas AND insurance when compaired to my 93 pathfinder; on top of the fact that this coming fall/winter/spring I will be running around between London, Toronto, and Oshawa a lot.

The car has failed twice already. Before I went in I already put in a new cat and a new O2. I failed on HC’s and NOx on the running test. So in prep for my second test I did an oil change (20W50), plugs, air filter, PCV, 2 bottles of lucus, AND the car was running on alcohol + gas (50/50). It brought down the HC’s and the NOX a lot on the running test but still not enough…

I am ready for options…nudge nudge wink wink…get it…

lol i think it might of been cheaper to get a emissions analysis, its about 100 to do it, otherwise u can keep guessing were the real problem is and if u spend 450 or more u’ll get a conditional pass. but trying to find someone to get u to pass for emissions is hard cuz of the computer doing the diagnostic makes it harder to bypass, unlike a saftey all u need is a shifty mechanic to sign the sheet and hopefully not get caught.

You will probably find no one to do a etest now. After you fail no one will do it unless there retarted lol
you looking to spend the 450 for a conditional pass, That thing is probably buring oil, coolent, winshild washer fluid lol. good car though will run for ever.
good luck.

I got it done, thanks for all those helpful replies.
