exactly
nothing, and I mean nothing, will keep a determined suicide bomber from killing a bunch of people. nothing.
maybe we could all sit around and pray that they will just give up.
Never going to happen. The only solution is to eliminate them or somehow convince them that its not the solution to their problems.

Yes. If, in the past 10 days, he hasn’t realized that 1) There have been numerous suicide bomber attacks against London using briefcases 2) Wearing a trenchcoat and having a briefcase is going to look suspicious 3) if there is a hole shit load of guys with badges around their neck but in plain clothes, you should probably stop 4) he should at the VERY LEAST know the words “STOP” or “POLICE” in a country that he has been in for 3 years
Then yes, he should be shot. This is just a twisted version of Darwinism. He’s not intelligent enough to keep himself out of that position? Oh well. This is a new kind of war we’re fighting all overthe world, and if you aren’t intelligent enough to know to stop when police ask you to, to not dress like a “suicide bomber” and to not go running directly towards something that has been a repeated target of bombings, then oh well. Tough luck.
:eek4: …
The whole innocent until proven guilty theory works great on paper, but it’s a little different in real life. It is still the best thing going for the average citizen, but when something happens to that average citizen, the criminal seems to have more rights than the person he hurt. England fucked up a little on this one, but I think it sends a nice and clear message to it’s people that they will not be fucked with. They will kill and ask questions later( it will work in the short run, but probably not forever). The US won’t even search a middle eastern man getting on an airline because they are afraid of a lawsuit: that is really fucked up and tells us where our country is going.
Is that response “kerry” enough for everyone :flipflop:
I’m glad to see that all the freedom loving repulicans are supportive of this country and other countries becoming a police state.
Please read my signature and listen to what Mr. Madison and Mr. Franklin have to say.

That is bullshit i use to work at diffferent airports after 9/11 and I saw tons of middle eastern people searched along with everyone else.
I was just going on what I have heard. :dunno:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/4159902.stm
ok if you haven’t heard… it’s looking more and more like this dude just got straight up murdered… yet no big whoop on the news… why… even the POS BBC protects its own. wonder how this will turn out
He goes on to say: "As I understand the situation the man was challenged and refused to obey police instructions.

There ought to be limits to freedom (George W Bush, I don’t have exact source, but this is as good as any NameBright - Coming Soon )
I am connecting the dots and the picture is not pretty. You don’t shoot someone for just “not complying”. These guys didn’t use their “Force Triangle”, they just went straight to the top of the triangle and murdered someone.
I agree with everyone else - In this day and age everyone is on edge about bombing ect. We have a right to be. Survival of the fittest and if you are dumb enough to run away then so help you. Is it right those cops popped his ass 5 times? No but you know what protecting your country from BS like this is worth one mans life. If it saves millions I say find some more make examples of them.
Here in US those cops that search bags and such would be getting sued because god forbid we were protecting ourselves. As far as freedoms being taken away, thats been going on for many years and everyone has turned the other way. It all starts with Political correctness and in my opinion if you don’t like what we do heres a plain ticket go back to your fuck up of a country and stop making us pay for all your shit. Because honestly I love knowing that these people from across other countries expecting us to pay for there school and all when our own Vets can’t get the treatment they need or the schooling they need when they come home from defending all of our freedoms. On another note…You are in america SPEAK ENGLISH. We shouldn’t have to cater to anyone else just like when you visit some other country they don’t cater to speaking English.
20 minutes on google to quote huey and lenin… let me find some good hitler quotes to add. :stick: :hsugh:
Hitler’s overrated and tends to either turn people off or incense them…
And, I didn’t have to google for these. I have them on printed out and taped on my wall (points up at wall) to remind me what’s “the right thing to do”.
hmmm… interesting.
:ugh:
Darwinism is dead. We have replaced it with a strongly favored Capitalistic system with a mild form of Socialism with a touch of Facism tacked on for good measure.
I don’t disagree about someone not complying with a stand-down order from an identified law enforcement official. Run from cops and they’ll elevate force, that’s one of the first training items for new LEO’s.
Speak the native language, yes, everyone should learn about the culture, language and customs of the lands they travel to out of respect for the places and people they encounter. Ignorance of local customs has brought much unnecessary misunderstanding to our world.
Total agreement. Vietnam, Gulf 1 and now Gulf 2, returning vets get the shaft everytime. It is reprehensible.
As for some of the people I quoted, you’ll notice that I quoted one Maxi-Socialist, one Communist, a writer of fictional works, a southern Democrat and GW himself. It is a diverse crowd, for sure, and I don’t agree with everything each individual brings to the table. Socialism and Communism don’t work, people are lazy when there’s no incentive to perform. Facism leads to absolute corruption and “tiering” of society. Capitialism works because we all have a stake in it…perform and you will likely succeed. If you fail, you can still try again. But, the safety nets in place in many countries allow people to “suckle the teat of government” ala Socialism, which leads to situations where people forget how to provide for themselves. The government has control in that case, becuase they become the provider rather than an instrument of the citizens.
We will have failed as a society when power shifts like this happen because gross misconduct by those charged with the most difficult job in our society are no longer being held accountable for their transgressions. This particular tragedy is yet another example of that downward spiral.
I’ve thought about this enough, I’m cracking a beer and watching the PBR.
