lmfao :rofl at giraffe and fupa talk.
BAHHHHHHHHHHH
Ernie… I will now jump on the bandwagon headed to awesometown.
You make dumb choices. DUMB. Not “dumb” as in we like to disagree with you just to poke fun, but as in dumb like you are seriously not thinking prior to acting… and then attempting to justify it in your head after the fact that when we tell you that you made a mistake that its not that bad and is ok still.
You’re are driving an expensive fucking car, you dont even own. You are voiding the warranty every step of the way, and I know you dont have enough money saved up to start paying for major repairs when shit breaks and doesn’t get covered because you just had to mod the car. furthermore just looking at that gravel shit on the side of the road I can see PLAIN AS DAY in the pics the giant fucking “man fist” rocks you said are hiding under the dirt AKA more rocks. It wasnt an honest mistake not knowing the big rocks were hiding below, it was NOT THINKING PRIOR TO ACTING! You fucking know it, we know it… you hiding behind your actions makes you look WORSE. Just say it up front, I was trying to look cool and drift around in a little 100X100’ patch of nasty gravel in my ROAD CAR and caused $3500 in damage. We would all laugh it off and would be more likely to forget it faster than you playing dumb and trying to make it look like it was just an unfortunate error.
And the part about “no big deal at all I ll get it fixed” NO YOU WONT. There is $3500 in damage EASY there. Red metallic paint is not only the most EXPENSIVE paint to buy for basecoat (red pigment is expensive) its a pain to paint. to fix the door, the lower jamb rear bumper cover and rocker they are going to do the body work on those pieces and blend WELL into the front pass side door, up the C pillar, across the bumper cover and should be doing it into the trunk lid too. THEN clearing the jambs into the rubber gaskets or at least cutting and buffing the clear overspray out.
Also knowing dumb fuckign young know it all buying shit over their heads, like a EvoX… and knowing you worked at NAPA for a buddy of mines family for a while, you are NOT making alot of money. Fuck neither am I to be in a position to afford that car properly. So I bet the insurance deductible is $1000, because insurance on that car to begin with for a male your age, is going to be expensive as hell to start.
Welcome to a real world slap in the fucking face man. Cranking the wheel and booting it in front of people to show off for 10 seconds might seem like a good idea while you are in the heat of the moment, but real men think prior to acting.
simply put grow the fuck up.
*Also knowing dumb fucking young know it alls
Never understood the point of moding a car you don’t own outright or at least knowing 100% you have the money to pay the payments should anything come up… Also before you say you make enough etc theres maybe 2-3 people at the most on this forum that qualifies under that.
Not calling anyone who buys a car they may not be able to “comfortably” afford an idiot, many do it just o have a nice reliable DD, but buying a performance car to mod and fuck off in is a dumb idea if you can’t afford it…
Yep thats a hefty life lesson to have to learn the hard way, believe me I know. I bought my Jeep when I was 22 or something brand new. Put a lift and tires and a bunch of other crap into it. Wheeled it in paragon through the woods, against trees and everything. Broke shit and it was a blast but it wad DUMB.
Granted the only thing ever that went wrong with it was 2 ball joints… which were recalls because of some heat shields that weren’t in place, as soon as they saw a young guy & it lifted and with 32’s on it, there were like OHHH NO, not covered. I had to play hardball to get them to cover the work because it was really a matter of recall not damage. After that I feared for suspension/drive-train stuff to break knowing I had no chance in hell to get it covered. I left it alone after that, didn’t add anything else to it and sold it shortly there after… AFTER i put it back to stock.
I guess we all have to be young and stupid to be old an wise, but the smarter ones take it with baby steps. At $16000 jeep VS a $30000 car is a hell of a difference. and when I traded it in, I was ahead on my next purchase…not wayyyy behind like that Evo is/will be.
PLUS you would think he would have learned from Travis! AWD car, bank owned, cant hardly afford it, thinks they are cool as shit in it, mods the fuck out of it poorly and the burns it to the ground and is probably STILL paying for the mistakes.
^Agree 100% with the above statements.
As much as I wanted a performance car when I was younger I’m glad I waited a bit longer in life to pick up my Evo X.
If I owned this car when I was in my early 20’s I would’ve definitely wrapped the car around a tree doing something stupid. Now though those urges have past, of course I’m not immune to the occasional highway pull but doing donuts in the lot or burn-outs at every stoplight is just dumb to me.
I don’t live for the car. Yes it’s fun to own and mod but it’s not my number one priority in life it’s just something fun to tinker with and take out on the weekends.
I’m not going broke paying for it. If I bought this car when I was younger I’d be eating crackers and drinking my own piss to make the monthly payments. To me owning a performance vehicle and not being able to comfortably mod it is not worth owning the car in the first place. Yeah it sucks being a little bit older and more responsible but being able to buy a car with 0% APR makes it a little less painful.
I was happy I got 3.75 APR on my jetta and thought I was the man. I put $50 on his payments are either 450-550$, and atleast 60 months out.
In modded form that car will not hold its value VS the projected mileage per year to pay it off. Even a stock one with half the miles projected at the end of the terms will be hard to break even.
Better man up and make double payments, because I dont see someone like this guy holding on to the car for more than 3 years, if its still in one piece by then. Just saying, by looking at the trend in the last 6 months!
Most every “younger” person that buys cars constantly trades them in/sells them etc to get soemthing else, its a constant circle of debt and most times in the end you end up more fucked then when you started, even if it seems liek less up front, in the end you just fucked yourself some more
I honestly have no Idea how some of you little fuckers afford these things… I don’t make a lot, but i guarntee I make more then some of you… and yet you seem to piss away money like its nothing…
Fuck I wish I knew how to do that
Agree with you guys 100%. Modding a car without being able to afford routine maintenace or the the shit the the upgrades will more than likely cause to prematurely fail is assinine.
cause the lexus is so damn low and I run stupid camber I plan on having a $1000 emergency tire/flat bed fund at all times. Cause if I get a flat a tire doesnt exist that will fit on the spare and be the same size as the rear tire/wheel set up meaning Im fucked and I plan for and accept that. You can’t just run out empty your wallet on something and then not be ready for the inevitable
AAA + $ in the bank = happy modding.
Living at home and not having children helps.
Not poking fun, just saying you have different priorities then a lot of the people on this forum.
Yep, once you fuckers get a mortgage life changes.
Fuck mortgage. i wish I had enough credit to get a mortgage for a house anywhere within 40 minutes of my house. Renting an apartment in downtown saratoga is bigger bank than the mortgage for a god damn mansion. A mortgage on a house the size i want would probably save me $300- $400 a month. You mortgage Bros have it way to easy
Case and point. I will throw myself way under the bus here.
My project jetta sits collecting dust and my gut drops when I open the excel sheet for “jetta parts.xls” and look at the total invested.
My daily drivers seem to shit the bed at opportune times and are glorified lawn jockeys.
Literally everything I touch, I mod. Its a disease I guess. And non of them run well for extended periods of time. :rofl
And to further compound that saving money isnt in my vocabulary, so I completely suck at life. Make me
YESSS SIIIR. And then those “mods” start adding up faster than they did on the cars! lol BUT I am so far ahead on my investment AKA my house, I could sell it and buy 2 new evo’s on the profit.
funny, didnt I mention this a while ago with someone we all know… T-Money… “Should I buy a house or a Lambo???” thread. HUMMMMM what was my dumb suggestion? Thats right a house. annnd what did he do? Bought a lambo and blew it up. HUH… and what is he doing now? FINALLY starting to cut back and get out of his parents “guest home”. NOOOOO SHIT.
I TOLD YOU SO :rofl
Somedays I really wish I could hop back on the “I dont give a fuck train” and just piss away money
idgaf how any of you fucksticks choose to spend your money.
i come to shift to look at pictures of cars :number1
…
False
This entire statement is retarded. Who says you have to live in Saratoga?
Typically, you can have a decent house for what you would spend in rent if you have money saved up.
and ROFL at “You mortgage Bros have it way to easy”. Sounds like you have credit issues. There’s nothing “easy” about mortgages. Renting is giving someone ELSE money. Think of the big picture. Equity/Tax breaks. There is a lot of reasons to own vs rent.
Not going to get into it here because shift dudes care more about APC intakes then housing typically. (Not saying you, just a general statement).
