curb idle really high on co% limit: 1.5 Result: 6.94!!!
thats the only thing that failed. any ideas??? stock sr20 btw. everything else was pretty good. cept the HC were only 4ppm under limit on idle as well.
I’m going to take a guess and say egrs. The cat converts the exhaust to co. so if the co is too high that prolly means the cat is ok but there’s is too much exhaust which is not recycled. Which should be the egrs job, or the oxygen sensor doesn’t know what the hell is going on.
well i was thinking that maybe i should clean my air filter and recirculate my bov… cause I know that when the car slows down to idle the bov opens up and lets a big whoosh or air out…
yeah i tried to retard the timing, but it was undrivable… so i put it back to normal… I did a bit of research and found out that high co% is caused by running too rich… so now im really thinking that its the bov going off… i could even hear it going off when he was shifting gears during the test…
