Ever have a furnace replaced?

For those interested aka starter home owners:

I got quotes from Capital Heat, Noco, and Adema.

Capital Heat - $2969 including Amana 95% efficient 2 stage burner 70k BTU, bringing gas line into the house from the meter and plumbing everything else I need, nothing I don’t. The guy seemed sharp, answered all my questions, everything he suggested added up.

Noco - $2848 for the exact same furnace, except a Goodman label instead of Amana. The guy wanted to pipe the exhaust right outside the side door. :bloated: Kinda tried to bullshit me on staying with oil. :gotme:

Adema - $3383 for again the exact same furnace. Except the dude was at my house for maybe 5 minutes, didn’t look things over real well, couldn’t give me a quote on the spot. He included a new thermostat which I do not need. He included new RF smoke detectors on each floor and in each bedroom, which I do not need.

Despite NOCO being $120 cheaper, I’m going to call Capital Heat on Monday and schedule the work. Maybe he was just a better salesman, but for $120 I’m going with the guy who seemed more competent.
