I woke up in the last night at like 2 AM to my entire arm from elbow to hand being numb. I felt like I could take a sledge hammer to it and not feel a thing. I was actually getting worried as it was taking a bit longer than usual for the feeling to come back.
I know im cutting off the circulation to my hand/arm but if any anatomy majors are on, is there an explanation as to how this is happens?
usually happens when you try giving yourself a reach-around while sleeping. Do you recall what you were dreaming about? Did it happen to be about playing a trombone in a quartet?
This happens when I fall asleep with a hot chick…then at some point during the night some fat ugly chick kicks the hot chick out of my bed and lays on my arm. Chicks dig me
Normally happens when I end up sleeping on my stomach and for some reason am putting all my weight on that arm. Mine normally goes “dead” though… where I can’t move it, feel it, or anyting. It’s painfull as hell as it wakes up though.
Welcome to my world. My left arm has been numb for a yr and a half now and dr’s seem useless. It’s a pinched nerve and since it goes away for you, you are just aggavating it when you are sleeping.
I normally would go into some redic. medical explanation but I will save you the trouble of reading a wall of text.
-Switch your sleep position
-If this does not solve the problem see a MD
-Sleeping on your arm restricts blood flow causing numbness
-Sitting there will not instantly cause blood to start flowing again, stand up for better results
