hahaha Yeah she was having a rough time on the previous 2 races. She couldn’t get it into 2nd gear and was getting pretty frustrated…she doesn’t like to lose.

Whats nice about Subies is that the engine comes out real easy. Had mine out of my RS in about 1.5 hr, and back in in 20 mins.
so it just shows that there 2.0 can’t make the power over the 4g63… so does that still make the STI a rally car… its not a 2.0 anymore…

come on now its the evo hands down, i havent ran into an sti that i couldnt beat and im not that fast. u get alot more out of the evo modding for power bang for buck wise
ok im just gonna throw this out there, for the price difference between the sti and the evo and the wrx i went with the wrx first off because the insurance is alot lower on the wrx than if it was a sti or evo, also the evo’s interior didnt impress me, and i wasnt comfortable while driving it. its fast as hell no doubt there and i would say stock for stock the sti and evo its a drivers race, for durability its all subaru, and as far as looks go, i like the look of the evo but i love the look of the wrx/sti’s. but i really wasnt able to afford a sti so i went with the wrx, as far as moding goes i will have about 1.5k into my car here soon and it will put me right about at a stock sti or evo. still not sure on what im gonna do, either mod the piss outta this or ill be buying an 08 sti but im still not sure yet. and at last the final selling point for me is the wrx boxer rumble, best sound ever. sorry about my little speech but thats just how it worked out for me.

hmm I’ve raced evos and have beaten every one. A stock STi will show it’s tail to an EVO practically every time in a drag race.
Yes modding the EVO can get more power, but then reliability goes way down.

im not tryin to start a pissin match but we can line up any time win or lose its all fun. oh and the evo’s stock bottom is good for atleast 450whp , my boy just laid down 451whp 390lb.ft on a dynapack stock bottom stock head except drop in hks cams

Evo 5 speed better STi 6 speed takes 3 shifts to hit 60mph.
Evo inline 4 more efficient than Boxer engine design.
Now at the track the evo depends on AYC in Japan and ACD here. whereas the STi depends on a balanced car close to 50:50 with the boxer engien and tranny comfiguration helping.
In both BestMotoring Sti vs Evo shootouts the Spec C STi 2L won both, but it was so close.
The drivers although hated the evo AYC which is a computer system that pretty much compensates for driver error and takes the driver out of the car as they stated so they prefered the STi in that respect.
Drag definite Evo advantage…Track slight advantage STi. That’s why you never see me at the strip I bought the car for what its good at the track.

Well its not a 2.0 here for some reason… that .5 gives you the 300hp…
FWIW my buddy has an 06 wrx and ran 13.59 (gutted cats, drop in filter). It’s also cheaper than an evo or sti. so if money is a bigger concern the 06 wrx’s are a hell of a deal IMO.
