I’ve heard from two mitsu. employees that email have been sent saying no X MR.
I guess the problem is that they can’t get their DSG-like transmission to last.
this is a little speculative at this point, but interesting to hear.

and best of all. mitsu realized this now and decided not to produce the car? Did they miss a memo or something…
^ NO DSG-like transmissions have problems
LOL my 1g tranny was one of the main reasons I sold my tsi
yeah, what’s up with a 15 year old part made for 200HP not working with 500HP… screw mitsu.
right, glad were on the same page
exactly, you can put through 500+ ftlb of torque through a 50 year old GM tranny…
QFT, thank you.
I read this one evom also somewhere, specualtion as of now I guess. I wouldnt want the tranny anyways. Just sell the MR with a six speed.

just found:
Mitsu should of just bought a DSG trans from VW.
Borg-Warner makes DSG and VW has an exclusive contract on it.
I didnt know that. But Im sure a deal could have been made for the technology. Ugh why the hell didnt they just offer a manual 6spd?
you can put 1200ftlbs through a GM 4L80E with a 100$ shift kit. lol
hopefully the DSG will hold up. you know this car is going to be put through its paces given the strength of the previous iterations.
