bought my house in oct 07. had the evo and evo only. exhaust was full 3" no cat, no res, one lil stright thru muffler. was loud to say the least.

one morning at 6:30 during jan 08 i went outside to pullmy car out the garage and go to work. i see a cop and i ask if i can help her with anything. mind u its this hot 24 y/o women. hot!!! she asks if my name is tony, i say no. tells me there is a complaint from #xx steet xxxxx . i say ok. so she then asks me to start my car so she can hear it. i start it and explain to her that its cold out and the governer on the car is going to keep the revs high so it will be loud for a min. then i tell her i only let it run for 2 mins tops then i leave. she tells me thats its not that bad and goes on her way telling me not to rev the motor ect ect

fast forward 2 months. i go outside to start my car and i see another cop. “officer may i help u?” “o im just going to monitor your exhaust.” haha now im thinking great, here comes a ticket. so i pull out and pull away super slow shifting at like 1500 keeping it so quiet. he flashes his lights and i stop. pulls next to me tells me im fine, its not that bad and as long as i do that every morning im ok. tells me dont rev it ect ect.

so far im thinking HA! asshole neighbors can suck my poop sauce! then about 2 months later (about april may time frame) i go home and there is a message on my machine. its the chief of colonie police. hahahha omg r u fucking kidding me!! tells me to call him about the exhaust situation. so i do, we chat for about 30 mins about fam, this that and the other thing. then tells me he would rather me talk to him (neighbor) face to face then have to come down there and settle this himself. i agree and say i wish he would have come to my door in the first place. so he calls my neighbor and tells him to call me.

well… he calls and i tell him that im not going to talk about this over the phone but meet me outside and we can talk about this face to face. his responce was…“um… r u sure?” ahhaha

so i get out there and he is mad reluctant to like get close to me and talk. its weird. then proceeds to tell me that his kids are “DEATHLY SCARED” of my car and wake up everymorning screaming bloody murder. i giggle and say “haha sure”. then tells me he is getting it left and right from the wife because of my car. hahaha at this point im thinking what a fucking pussy this guy is. so basicly i tell him im not getting rid of the car nor quieting it down any, but that i had had plans to get a daily driver and i will keep the evo as a weekend warrior. he agrees with me and we go about our merry way.

get a daily driver and the muffler falls off!! ahahahahha so now i have a daily driver (2000 vr6) with no muffler and it sounds awesome!!!

now i have a vette and plan on getting long pipes with electronic cut outs hahaha! i cant wait to see how they react to that. assholes!!!

long story short, if u have issues with someone, confront them first b4 calling the cops 4-5times.

What neighbor is this? I’ll be sure to make my SC whine like a mofo when I drive past their house every day to and fro work. :nod

Or when I start the car at 8am to go to work and it’s loud as hell driving past everyone’s bedroom windows. Fuck ‘em. It’s nothing compared to the elephant that lives upstairs who does jumpin’ jacks at 7am every morning and slams doors all day.

my neighborhood is quiet tho. those couple of ppl that live in my area prolly know. especially early morning 6-8 am its just dead quiet. u hear snow falling, srsly. i walked out one day and hear snowflakes falling down.

They were always kinda weird. I used to mow her parents lawn when they lived next to my grandmas, lol. They had a jack russel terrier that ALWAYS barked at me. Whether it be inside the house, outside, it would always bark and run after me. Fucking dog. My grandfather and I always used to spray it with the hose and they would yell at us, lol.

dont think u will get anywhere. there is a noise ordinance that im sure they will obay after u call the cops on them,if they arnt already obaying it. and then not only will your neighbors know u called the cops but…the dogs will still be barking. bad idea!!!

listen to me, walk over there and kindly ask them if they wouldnt mind keeping the barking to a minimum. be nice about it, DO NOT RESORT TO THE COPS unless it gets violent. and if that happens just call tony. he will do 200+ down ur street and scare everyone so badly they will move. ;D

You can file a civil suit that your quality of life is being diminshed if you have sufficient proof. My neighbors aren’t the type to talk anything out. Old ass biker guy that doesn’t give a shit that his dogs are barking all the time. I have a dog and dont leave him to bark at everything. The boxers just bark at nothing. All day. Nothing like trying to get some peace or study on the weekends when all you hear is your neighbors dogs. So now when I drive by i just lay on the horn, If I have to listen to their dogs, they are listening to my horn.
