My 26" drag radials are pretty much shot. Im going to try to hold them out for a night at lebanon but that will finish them off. I have f1 supercar tires in my attic that are almost new. They are 295/35/18’s. I was going to put them on after these radials were whooped, but I like hooking.
I was going to change my rear end gears because I dont like them, but I dont know how long it will be until I can get around to that…
so I was looking at replacing my 26"s with 28" tires. My only question is, sense I am lowered, will I have problems? the 26’s are cutting it close right now and I am not sure if the bigger tire will be pushing it to much.
i couldnt get a 28 under my car without cutting the bumstop and mnts off the car . that and ya have a.b.s and t/c id stay in the same size ya have been running seein as ya dont have any problems now with the system
I cut my bump stops completely out of my car as well and had to beat the living piss out of the inner wheel well with a sludge hammer to get the clearance I have now because this rear end was a little narrower then the 10 bolt.
I know, your OP said they are 295’s. I’d just replace them with the same tire, I put a lot of time on those tires before you got them, and you’ve gotten quite a bit from them too.
Not bad for getting them for 37.50 each! Find someone with a set of 28’s to try before you buy them, since you technically can’t return them after mounting.
