Alot of you have been commenting in my nitto tire forsale thread about my car so I just took some pics.
The rake doesnt look as bad as I think it looks in person. I was kind of parked on a “slope”
for the others who dont know, I just installed these brand new 305-40-18 Nitto 555r drag radials. My fronts are a 17" wheel and a 275-40 tire. I had 305-35-18 mt et streets on before these nitto’s. The MT streets were a 26" tire. These nitto’s, are a 27" tire. I wanted a bigger tire, cause of the cars gearing, however with the tire difference between so drastic between the front and rear, it makes my PCM go ape shit. My ABS INOP comes, and stays on. My Traction control doesnt work and other various dumb lights, light up my dash. This bugs the shit out of me.
Basically, I kinda need people to talk me into “keeping” them.
my problem is, I feel like it looks funny because there is alot more wheel well space up front, then the rear, but I cant get a bigger tire on the front without it kissing my fenders.
Should have gotten the 35’s bro, they are a 26.42" tire and 99% of 275/40/17’s are going to be 25.6x" - does your ABS light come on when you are driving normal?
Leave them, deal with the dumb lights, pull the bulbs out of the dash or put electrical tape over them. You dont needs abs or traction control, unless for normal driving you like them or feel “safer” with them. Some people do
I fucking HATE ABS and traction control, I feel like it fucks with me more then it helps.
Put smaller tires on, maybe itll look more to your likeing and you’ll blow it sideways everywhere…
Honestly dude, with how much it seems you liek to run people, I’d leave it and learn to live with it, its functional and looks pretty mean on your car, you know its ready for SRS BZNS
The whole point I got this moser 12 bolt to begin with, was to keep it like a “factory car” Hence the traction control and abs. I didnt want to get a rear end that didnt have tcs or abs, simply to avoid whats going on now. So thats why it bothers me so much.
There is no such thing as a free lunch. You have great tire wear/traction now, for the price of some tire height. Deal with it. If you go back to the Mickeys, you’ll be complaining of tire wear, on and on and on
its hard to me to tell without any hard evidence without going to the track for proof, but on paper my car should trap higher now, that I have “longer” gears. However, I am not sure if I just think my car is slow now or what, but I almost feel like the car struggles to pull these tires.
