I heard bill collectors use facebook like a moofoo too, just sayin’…
Are insurance fraud investigations close enough for you?
that’s actually kinda funny.
“went skydiving today”
Busted, yoink.
We just built a tool for a customer that walks a range of facebook profiles and watches them for updates during certain hours so bosses can see if their employees are busy on facebook playing games, posting updates, adding friends, etc. during business hours.
^I need that!
<3 you
That is fucking win.
The worst one so far was when the lady’s facebook profile was secured but I still got everything I needed on her from the husband’s wide open profile. She was real pissed when her benefits got cut off because of him.
<3 you too
Health insurance?
Auto/Health/Worker’s Comp…I get sent anything and everything insurance related as of late.
Criminals have also turned to facebook,updates/pics really make it easy for them,it was on the news recently.
e.g. updates about being away or on vacation.
This website used to update every time someone made a post about not being home just to get the point across.
I know a lot of places that use facebook for profiling employees to do security tests against the company…
However the fact that nappy stalks people in his is free time is creepy
I never go on cuz I really don’t give a shit what my friends are doing. The south park episode summed it up the best this season my thoughts.
I am also entertained that this world has come items being marketed to help “Your social life” and it referring to Twitter and Facebook. Not being able to actually talk to someone.
Funny coming from the guy who started this thread:

Free time? Try work time, he gets paid as a detective.
I’ve used facebook while searching for potential employees.
If you have a facebook, myspace, twitter and any other page like this, you are not safe. I work for an insurance company and we have a specific department in our home office that does research on people with certain types of claims. For example, if you are hurt and filed a workmans comp claim with say a bad back. They will hunt for you online and look for your pictures playing pickup basketball in the driveway and use them against you. Or your status update, “just finished doing squats at the gym, Im up to 525lbs.”
Now, as long as you have your privacy settings, so they cant see your stuff, you might be OK. But ANYTHING that is online about you can be used against you in these types of situations. If my company does it, I am sure there are others out there that do as well. Be careful what you post about yourself period.
fuckin skanks
I only stalk unless I’m getting paid to. Stalking for free is for suckers.
lol, I concur. I really don’t care to know the useless information people feel the need to post about. “Getting ready to go out to dinner w/ the best b/f ever!” Thats just wonderful!
It really surprises me how many educated people have this disconnect in their minds between saying something in person in public and saying something on Facebook. People say things like, “My employer shouldn’t be able to use my bitching about my boss/job on facebook against me”. Really? Do you think it would be ok to go into your lunch room at work and say these same things in front of any random co-workers who happened to be there? What about at a trade show? Because by putting it online and not being 100% sure of your audience is the same thing.
As for the scanner, great post. Mine is stuck at “scanning personal information…” and “scanning friends, tags, and connections information…”. Been there since around noon so I’m assuming it’s not going to finish.
