Face's 2-Step

This will be a boring video for anyone who has seen a 2-step before but I’m sure most people here have not.

btw, Face = brianphung. We call him Face, don’t ask.

Motor is KA-T

Ignore the lack of traction, the track was so slippery at this time the fastest 60 foots were 2.8 seconds. it got better as the night went on.

its just a quick download, 30 second video or so.

2-Step are fun and effective - but man do they ever gobble turbos.

He likes to gobble!

Ill give anyone $50 to put their ear near the tip when the car is 2-stepping.

I don’t mean right at the tip where it’ll burn your face but within inches.

$50, come on.

the person wont live to take your $50

flames or not, the sound is ear piercing even at 20-30ft away

that video does the volume of that car no justice

Yeah, I wouldn’t even stand behind the exaust…

ya its pretty bad being near it

meh, since john posted this, might as well post up my best timeslip for the night…

Deffinately not something i want to do again…ever

say “i need traction” 3 times fast. if you do, you’ll be in the 12’s

Brian, I’m sueing you, my ears still hurt from 2 weeks ago!

waves hey brian…

Did you get new tires before you went to the track?

no, hes a lazy prick and didnt get any

I should lend you my 16x9’s… =D

Yo Brian,

Give us some details of your setup.

What 2-step are you using?
What psi do you build? and at what RPM?
Ignition cut or fuel cut or both?

hey richard, nope, no new tires… bald as hell :.

dan, 2 step using aem ems. a lil more than 10 psi at 3000 rpm. ignition cut at 2900 rpm, fuel cut at 3000 rpm. retard rev at 2900 rpm. boost is set at 14 psi (spikes to 15 in 4th and 5th).

Nice - and you’re using the AEM to control your boost too… Or do you use an external controller?

nah, right now i’m using an adjustable wastegate actuator :. i’m actually looking into some boost controller options as we speak… any suggestions?

Well, I’ve had great success with an avcr… But I think your cheapest option is to just by a solinoid and have the AEM control boost
