any car not originally from the us has to be 15 years old based on the manufacturing date to be able to enter canada without all the extra work to make it legal for canada. for us theres no specific age but there is certain cars that are not allowed to enter canada if originally sold in the us.

truth be told, i have nor the money to do such a thing, or the time to care how to. Cheers to framer for getting it done, the car is amazing. its still a peiced together car. probably missing half the parts off it still anyways. but if someone wants to waste time and money on building a car from scrach then let it be. personally and im sure more then half the people on here could care less how you got it in here legeally and how much its costed you. and yeah no one should be a dick about it and be all secretive about it cause its super cool to have a jdm car, you should tell people how to do it, and see how many people actually try. Id take satisfaction in seeing people start a project like this and go so far in debt that they cant finish it and need a second morgage to pay people off.
i didnt post this to start a fight or to give an elitist attitude about this project, I spent the better part of over 1 yr doing this project, i have signed a confidentiality contract about how this car has been imported legally. Once the car is sold amd i have fufilled my obligations to its owner, I will be happy to fill in the community about how this process is done and what is involved.
All i can say is if you want to buy this project completed the it will cost on the better side of $75,000. This is the target $$ that is being sought after for this car.

yes a very expensive thing to do… but in simple form… have car completely disassembled and then shipped over and reassembled here… classes as a “kit car” and is fully legal to drive on rd and be plated… theres a hint to how to go about doing it in last months pas mag… in the article with the blue drift r34, its mentioned but not in detail
