Fashion Thread: Men's Accessories

oh I’m not arguing, I am just curious as to what constituted his snarky comment.

What’s an infantry scarf anyway?

an infinity scarf is just a circle. A scarf with no ends. Usually larger in size you generally wear them around you neck twist once and then back over your head so its like making the infinity symbol and wearing it

Ah gotcha.

I learned the other day of a thing called a blanket scarf. It’s essentially a small blanket that doubles as a scarf. Who know there was such variety, lol.

I have seen women wearing those

this reminds me about how my scarf collection is seriously lacking and in need of increased douchery.

yeah I was thinking that was going to be a focus of mine as well this winter.

That and a decent looking dressier warm coat but not a pea coat

Ohhh, I really like that citizen, can you post the model #?

The band will loosen while wearing it.

I’ll end up grabbing a black leather band for the SEA-GULL…

An infinity scarf is 99% of the time worn by women. Wanted to make sure it hasn’t become a thing in men’s fashion.

Men wear infinity scarves just as much as women. There are literally no scarves that are specified sex. Color/print is more what decided who wears what

Exactly… This is fine, but this board is always comparing who’s the most Manly… 2 sides of a coin, or some major mental issues I think.

Some guys will simply never care about being well dressed. However some find a measure of utility in it especially in their professional lives.

It’s the same for cars really. “Normal” cars verses something higher end, etc.

I’m no NYC runway fashion expert, but this looks fucking stupid as shit. I think they look dumb on women too.

People definitely treat you differently when you dress more professional from my experience.

yeah well you have to take it in context. That guy in that picture I would not call fashionalble

Case in point infinity scarfs

Scarves just replace ties really.

I think there can’t be a true right or wrong to fashion. Its really is just our own way of expressing our selves outwardly, if we are a well rounded enough to confidently do so without trying to impress our peers. That’s why I think its laughable people would criticize how someone else dresses. Unless it is something lewd or trashy or outwardly inappropriate around children idc what anyone wears. That is why I was curious about the infinity scarf comment

my buddy wore a silk scarf along his lapel at a wedding this summer… i thought it looked really sharp even worn in addition to a tie rather than instead of. i’ll probably pick up a couple to try just for that purpose… i’m the guy with the skinny tie and he cutaway collar which @SRS BZNS mentioned as a faux pas

That tie is tits. Personally I’d probably go with a traditional scarf rather than infinity. I really need a nice pair of brown shoes. Might seek some Allen Edmonds on eBay

@bing that is a cutaway not a spread and the Tie fits your lapels. Looks good to me. The color isn’t my deal but I am very drab and monotone in my color tastes. Like someone desaturated my closet lol

i have 2 pairs of black shoes that are italian made… oxford lace ups from Saks and double monks from Harry rosen… i have not worn either pair in more than 2 years and i never will again. might as well throw your black shoes away… also havent worn my black belt in the same amount of time.

after upgrading from AE into Carmina or higher i’ll probably look at burnished reds or greens for formal footwear

Yeah…Carmina’s are a little out of my price range. Picking up a simple $60-100 pair of AE off eBay would be suitable enough for me.
