That could be a $200 Brooks Brothers shirts too. Meanwhile my $15 TJ Maxx off-brand fitted shirt would look 10x better.
im not a fan of ill fitting clothing of any type
You’re 100% right. There are differences in quality, but if you’re wearing 2 sizes too big, you look like a buffoon. For cheap fitter dress shirts, I’d hit up JC Penney for the Stafford or Van Huesen(sp?). My personal preference and probably a little bit of a step up is Calvin Klein. Quality is there, they hold up and fit great. If you’re close enough to the outlet malls and you’re not using them, you’re doing yourself a disservice. ALSO, if you are a AAA member you can get a discount card at the main Kiosk. I used to think Express was decent but IMO their shirts fucking suck. They don’t hold up at all.
I just love the fact that you used the word “buffoon” lol.
A+
My shirts typically end up with stubborn collar stains long before they “fall apart” so I really try not to worry about much other than how they fit. That’s not to say all of my shirts are crappy off-brands, but if I see one that I like that looks like it’s gonna fit well, I don’t hesitate to buy it.
I also like to wear casual-ish surf brands. I have a few DC chino pants, Quicksilver button downs, etc… They look pretty good and usually have a more modern fit.
yeah i used to grab the CK shirts from the outlet and they were good value. i’ve always been disappointed with the burberry shirts. they do not hold up well after a few washes… no way in hell burberry should charging $150 - $250 for very average quality shirting… only shirt from burberry i have i would still consider wearing is a 15 year old burberry london (made in London) shirt…
on the subject of fabric to fabric (and we are now leaving accessories and talking about men’s clothing in general which there is another thread for) i recently saw this article which gives a cursory look at it:
http://online.wsj.com/articles/SB10001424052970204908604574332472424083020
none of my stuff is really that expensive.I personally don’t like to spend money on clothing or shoes. I’d rather spend it on experiences or the house.
I’d never buy $300 shoes. I hate spending more than $50 on a tie. Most of my sweaters I buy in clearance sections for $100-150. It’s simple to shop most places. GO in see what you like come back at the season change and find what you liked on the clearance rack for 40-50% off. People who buy stuff from the front table on display aren’t very bright. You want to save money but look good shop out of season
this is critical.
but there is a big difference with high end stuff. i agree it’s not worth the money 90% of the time but the differences are most certainly there.
so i’m just posting this because i was watching a couple auction son ebay for used socks to see if they sold or not… sure enough… both did:
and
i should have put my socks down as assets on my credit app a few weeks back.
That’s disgusting.
yeah same guy had all his boxer shorts up for sale:
he has like 6 lots of them up… friggin weird…
he has one lot of socks left but i already have half of them so sucks for me i guess
hi i’d like $200+ for my used socks:: http://www.ebay.com/itm/24-pairs-of-colored-color-socks-Falke-Duchamp-Richard-James-Marcoliani-/321634045290?&_trksid=p2056016.l4276
i’m sorry, this stuff comes up in my auto feed… i’m not actively seeking used socks.
lol… touche
this is so much work supplying the various feeds
I’m just trying to keep NYSpeed alive, clearly.
Also, that boot and lace combo is on point.
if you can’t match boot to belt you can match laces to belt (to car, to watch etc.)
all unnecessary but i’m just trying to keep NYspeed alive
btw… for the #lacegame
metal aglets bro…
I always rage out when the metal aglets fall off. Happens to me every time
