There was a 240 in the first one remember? And it had the hottest driver of the lot. 240SX didn’t get more popular because of that.
People stole a lot more SR20s for their Integras though.

Also, back in the F&F days the internet wasn’t nearly what it is now.
What does this mean? ANYONE who had a SLIGHT interest in import cars in general since the first F&F would have by now already learnt what drifting is. They google civic and read some civic threads, see a video posted about drifting and bang there it is. Or they type in import racing in google and see a few pictures of drifting, click the link and bang there it is again. Or they pick up a magazine with “imports” on them and surely there is an article about drifting. bang there it is again. See?
Now there is a small population that will be influenced by this movie that previously had no real interest in cars, but it will be minor.
Hell, they could even be playing Mario Kart, they see some drifting, blue flames, and they go and buy a 240 
I think what youre saying here is true for the mostpart. But the movie will still pull in hundreds of thousands of kids who never really caught on to drifting yet, or to rwd powerful imports. FNF carried the civic through the media circus and now I think FNF3 will do the same to the 240.
At the same time, more and more dumb kids will look to 240s to try to fit in and to try to look cool, all the while never really understanding wtf is going on.
dont think it will create much of a change to the 240sx scene…ive seen some previews and pictures and I think it will just make more sales to the more newer popular cars in the movie… 350z and whatnot…

True… but the eclipse was pretty glorified, either way the eclipse got alot of attention after the first one
no doubt the market will be high on the 240sx. question is how long will it last and is it worth dropping a potential sale now just to gain a few hundred later.

yeah, the reason the eclipse and the civic got the most attention after the movi wasn’t just because they were prominently featured, they were also the cheapest of the featured cars… think about it how much were / are FD rx7’s and 2JZ 6 spd Mk4 supras…
Just because the 240 isn’t the big thing in the new movies doesn’t mean it’s not gettign the attention how many kids can go out and buy a 350z…
