fbod in snow?

anyone driven or is driving a fbod or similar in the snow? i got 86 z28… and im sick of my winter car burning through crankshaft sensors… so this is my last resort… words of advice? its a 305, 5speed, posi.

if you put snows on it and some weight in the pit you should be ok…

Mine was a nightmare the one time I got caught with it in the snow, not fun driving home on slick 275 DRs.

I haven drive the formula in the snow…3.73s are intresting…you take your foot off the brake and your spinning.

Where is badazz.

I drove my 3.8 firebird in the snow for 4 winters, starting when i was 16. Never lost control unintentionally or hit anything. Snow tires + sandbags in the back FTW.

i had an '84 trans am with a 350, 5spd, 3.73s

meh, even some decent all seasons, some weight in the back helps. it all pretty much comes down to not driving like a retard. i Loved driving mine in the winter, very predictable, lots of fun

get snows & sandbags if it freaks you out.

sounds good… dmv tomarrow! any words ir wisdom on a 97 eclipse burning 2 crank sensors in 3 days?

i’ve driven my mustang in the snow before…even with snows and sandbags in the trunk it’s not very good at all. not worth smashing up your car, or worse.

i shun you for ruining a fbody

Sounds like someone need to learn how to drive.

Just pay attention, and look ahead when you go to turn in anywhere. If you pick and choose your battles accordingly it’s shouldn’t be too bad. As long as it’s properly equipped.

i drive a GTO in the winter…its not that bad at all just take your time and be smart.

305 hehehehe

dont put extra weight in. more rear inertia= more spinouts. just get some good snows and drive slow

i gotta 383 in my garage… waiting for spring

so how bout that irony?

Snow tires and 150lbs in the back and you’ll be fine. I drove my 88 IROC like that for a few years before repainting it.

And it was fun

Another 86 z28 with a 383 swap…

like you should talk…

shut up
