finance question.

For those of you that know, i financed a truck in march. since then, i have had nothing but problems with the truck, shifts rough, oil was 2 quarts overfilled (came from the dealer like this), so now its leaks from above the oil pan, muffler fell off, and they reprogrammed the computer twice and it resolved nothing.

my question is, how can i get out of this lease. i know someone is going to say stick it out pay it off, well, i dont want to. truck has let me down too many times in the month ive had it.

thanks- Ray

lemon law??? what kind of warranty does it have? it should have something seeing that your making payments and just got it. Why wont they fix the problems. I would be raising hell.

should have bought the ford.

Do you have a specific complaint with the vehicle? maybe a certain problem that continues to re-occur? if so you could file a complaint with the dept of motor vehicles. they may be able to help you out. www.NYSDMV.com, look up how to file a complaint or division of vehicle safety, as far as lemon law that is through the attorney gen office. (and mostly fowarded to dmv from them) and the speficis on filing a lemon law complaint are strict (out of service certain numbner of days, attempt to fix a problem certain number of times etc…). I would first contact the owner of the dealer and tell him your story and see if he will do something for you.

is this a new or used truck?

If you purchase a used car for more than one thousand five hundred dollars, or lease a used car where you and the dealer have agreed that the car’s value is more than one thousand five hundred dollars, from anyone selling or leasing three or more used cars a year, you must be given a written warranty.

that sucks, i hope you get it fixed

call some attornys u have a lemon they will get u out of it and ur payments back

im getting the truck back from the shop again, if any of the problems are not resolved, im parking it in theyre showroom. =)

thats horrible i hope you get out of the payments

So was this thing leased or purchased? New or used? If it’s a new truck and they don’t fix it after 3 tries they owe you a new truck under the lemon law.

I’m thinking lemon law like everyone else is saying

Its hard to fall under the lemon law clause. The same thing has to break a certain number of times and the car has to be out of service for a certain amount of time each occasion. I doubt it actually qualifies.

I would just bitch until you get out of it. If they absolutely say no, threaten them in a way that would give them very bad publicity.

2 on your side…

lol

Was this car new or used? If used, mileage?

That and news has been slow besides the sabres, threats of bad publicity or anything that will cost them money will get it done. Try to see if you can get a news channel in on it though around here unless you find more than one person with similar issue you probably won’t get far.

The only way you are going to get anything done is by having some way to hit them where they car.

OR

Don’t rush into impulse buying a car next time.
