well i tore out my old speakers and made a custom mount out of 1/4" plywood. i mounted the 6.5" into that and then put it all back together. everything is working fine but im not impressed at all with the sound from them. they are pioneer TS-A670 6.5" speakers. Not very much sound out of them, i had to set my deck to +2 front bias. they still dont sound that great but its more balanced now. i have old sony 6x9" in the rear and they sound much better. oh well. its sounds pretty good all together with the alpine deck. big thanks to gonad for posting his 6.5" install
Those speakers are not designed to work in an Infinite Baffle Application.
There designed to have extra backpressure from an enclosed box.
do you think it would be possible to rig something up for it? like a small box behind that wont intefere with the window?
It shouldnt interfear with the window.
But to check remove the speaker and mounting bracket and roll down the window and take a gander.
