Saw this blog today. I like the concept, but it seems like the person is not at the forefront of saving the buildings, as most of the posts seem to be after the buildings are being demolished.
He has been doing this for a long time. He just tries to shine light on things going on in Buffalo that the average citizen around here wouldn’t know or care to know.
david torke does more for buffalo than anyone I can think of. He may not have money to rehab buildings but the awareness he brings to the east side and behind the scenes work he does has paid dividends.
we could use 100 more of the same
he stopped by the shop a few weeks back, turns out to live a few doors down from my parent’s house/where I grew up.
While he is a bit over the top at times I like what he’s doing. When I was in college he helped me out a bit on my thesis (urban homesteading)
