So at the request of bing on my FB i decided to post this.
Long story short, i was leaving work on friday around 7 and everything after that is a blank to me up to the point of me waking up at 10pm in a hospital on a stretcher.
Basically what the paramedics told me was that my car lost control and flew into a wooded area, i figured it was a front impact cause I dont remember ANYTHING. Apparently from what they told me, my car lost control at the end of a turn, i fishtailed and bee-lined its way into some trees, i took out 2 trees and smashed into the 3rd one which caused the car to lift and smash my rear quarter right behind the driver seat into another massive tree. so essentially, i was under a foot away from losing my life. The rear axle is shifted towards the passenger side about a foot so the wheel is basically out of the passenger side rear wheel well.
After i fully regained consciousness, i checked for my belongings and had to go to the impound to get my keys since my house keys are on the same keyring. The woman at the impound lot was surprised i survived because of the way the car looked afterwards. i grabbed my keys, tried to see the car but couldnt get around the fence since it was after hours. I then head to Peel 11 Division to grab the release slip from them to pick up my car or at least go through it to salvage what i can. The cop at the counter instantly remembered me because he was on scene (i didnt recognize him cuz i have no idea what happened between 7-10 PM) He was even more surprised than the impound lady that i had gotten out as good as i had. he showed me more pictures of my car at the scene and it was heartbreaking to see my S13 all mangled. I got my slip and went home right after which ironically is down the street from the police station.
The car is a total write off, no frame puller machine made by god or on god’s earth will fix it. luckily i had my seatbelt on so i sustained no serious injuries, but the force of the impact snapped the bolts holding my seat in. My wrist is bruised as fuck, theres random spots on my back that hurt, and my neck is sore.
Thats the whole story. oh wait, and peel region of course decided to slap me with a 360 dollar ticket for careless driving which i have to either fight or talk to the court and figure out.
So FML, I’m gonna go lie back down, i feel like shit
just 1 careless ticket… and lucky to be alive… its a beautiful day out there considering…
careless is HTA, be thankful, there are worse charges…
that is fck’d though, some people get charged, some don’t, like the WRPS cruiser that drove right into future shop “while looking for a suspect” in the parking lot,
actually i would have died if it were for the habit of me driving with my window down, i smoke so my window is always open, that an i hate using my AC which doesnt really matter anymore.
Ill have pics up once Solarian comes to get me to go to the impound, from what i saw from the outside tho and what the cop showed me, i actually should have died…
hey buddy!! good to know you okay… hot baths and streching is key, trust me. its going to be painful but in the end your muscles will be stronger and more flexible with minimal pain.
FIGHT THE TICKET
I’d say something like so…
A component let loose in the rear end of the car and caused the event of losing control and accident to happen. It was unavoidable because it was a unforeseen malfunction of the car while a turn. The car was too badly damaged to pinpoint and identify the part that failed, because it can be a number of things.
wow dude that is shity to hear just be happy that u can still wake up and smell tire smoke. hope ur feeling better soon and good luck with ur court shit hopefully they reduce it or some shit
That is great to hear, not the S13 part, but you surviving without any lifelong injuries. Be thankful. An S13 can be replaced.
Earlier in 2007, my reflexes pretty much saved me from some nasty injuries. The insuranceless woman driver in an integra would’ve hit my door if I didn’t brake in time, but I did so it was a front end collision.
Seriously man, go through the therapy sessions, acupuncture, massage, whatever you require for at least a month. You will feel better. For now rest as much as possible, and GTFO of SON.
