Most here is good other then sourcing a car that came with an AEB. The ECU system in the drive by cable cars is horrible in comparison to the newer drive by wire cars. The AEB head is a nice upgrade, but everything else about the vehicles that came with them are negatives. Not to mention the only A4’s that came with AEB are pre-facelift (not as good looking).
then just get a small port normal DBW A4 1.8t and swap the head if you cared, if not rock the small port. My 1.8T was the stock AWP, and ran just fine and reved to 7800 without breaking anything (I know I was asking for it though). The AEB head was just a “while your at it” thing.
I am this close to doing a drop in rod on my daily driver jetta, buying back my uni830 ecu from the guy I sold it to, getting injectors and putting one of the 255’s sitting on shelf in it. Then getting a knock off ATP T3 mani and putting a masterpower cheap turbo on it and giving it hell.
