NICE man! I did some Amature boxing for the last 4 years, but recently got out of it after a bad injury not having to do with the sport. I strictly bodybuild now, at a midget 5"8 height and 200lbs theres not much im good at BESIDES fighting or lifting lol. Thinking of competing if I can reach 220 by the end of winter while maintaining 10-12% bodyfat… Always wish I could have done some MMA, i’d be a beast if I could get my wrestling/grappling down.

Wasnt the law JUST past like a few weeks ago that it is legal now to train MMA? Used to be you could only train one kind of art such as JUST boxing or JUST karate?

Fuck that, make your own ‘gainer’ shakes out of real food, so much cheaper and better. My current shake

2 eggs
2 scoops protein powder
1 cup oats
1 big chunk of peanut butter
2 tablespoons of olive oil
3/4 cup water

Over 800 calories of fantastic sources of protein, carbs and fat.

If you have time for that, your right, its absolutely the BEST way to go, you actually digest MORE protein becuase the food is whole and not broken down into powder however I have no time and I am a lazy bastard there for I stick with my already made shit lol… Add milk, blend, drink.

Tho for extra calories/protein/carbs I add a few scoops of peanut butter and 2-3 packets of oatmeal in my shakes.

Honestly, not sure about the law. I think you can train whatever, but when there are actual events (Cage Wars), it has to be ONE style.

Nice man. Yeah I’ve been training my entire life, over 15 years now. I’m at 220lbs at 5’10 right now, if they legalize MMA in NY I would cut to 205 for competitive weight.

There was never a law against training, it’s the competition that’s always been illegal.

They did bro! Just recently passed the law legalizing it… Like… Just weeks ago.

I knew it was pending, that’s awesome news. Now they need an Ultimate Fighter New York haha.
