I believe I saw this at the Shootout last year. Very quick car!
It’s also annoying when people run single digit passes with 3.650 reaction times. Can’t anyone stage properly? The car might as well be a dyno queen.
edit Oh yeah, and on a pro tree, the r/t is factored in.
Not it doesn’t…
You’re confusing ET with winning the race. First person to cross the line wins, pro tree, regular tree, whatever. But never does the r/t affect the ET.
example: John beat stry the other night at a regular .500 tree, John went 11.1, stry went 10.8. r/t was way better, but the ET was still slower.
Reaction time can can only affect you if you both run what you diaded in at,and then the slower reaction time will lose.My car has a converter in it that is awfull to try to get my turbo to spool up.(way to tight). So i have to sit there almost 12 seconds to get to 10-12 lbs of boost. So i try to stage before the other car does so we can leave at the same time.It runs the same times if i leave on time or 3-4 seconds after the tree comes down.
But your car sounds sick sitting there building up boost.
That car is tits
I can’t imagine the popularity of FDs if they actually had a kickass engine. People are in love with these things, and the motors fucking suck.
Should have SHO’ed it!
I kid. Awesome car though.
^ lol
very cool, I know there were a bunch of FC chassis rx7’s doing this, but this is the first time I’ve seen it done in the FD. That thing moves out pretty well
Fuck the FD, that setup should have been in a Pinto.
gay 4g63 is about as reliable as a rotary
Pretty gay motor indeed. I guess 18 years on the job is a fluke right???
Or maybe “in production” is a better choice of words.
Yeahh…I have a 19 year old bone stock 4g63 with over 100000 miles running 21 psi…daily driven…
4g63
i’d still rock an fd even with a rotary, super hawt cars
EXCELLENT read. GM builds some serious iron.
I guess my car is a fluke then, since it only sees 7500 rpm daily at full boost
Thats a built 4g64 inside.
A 4g63t is a total beast. The motor wasn’t the problem in dsms, it was the owners and parts breaking.
dsm’s still suck nuts.
lol. :gtfo:
8 sex 1/4’s sux nuts y0, and drifting gets dem hoez.
