This is ridiculous and nothing adds up at all, especially the fact that he has wanted out of the military for the last 8 years and was just recently promoted to major. ‘Typically’ the rank of major and a raise is the carrot for sticking in the army when your original contract is up.
FYI Officers can resign their commission whenever they want. For the most part. Meaning he had no commitment time as do most soldiers.

pretty much… He has to go through a few hoops but yeah that is the gist of it.

They probably picked on him for sure, because of his religon, beliefs and the way he dressed even though that gear he rocked was from Pakistan. Ive been through the hate my whole life, but no matter what i’d never change my religon.
I don’t support suicide bombers nor this type of act, because no one deserves to die no matter how bad they knocked on him. Well no one deserves to die, besides the Israeli government and their military.

When there is a deployment going on officers really aren’t let go unless there is a damn good reason… “I’m having dangerous thoughts” will get ANYONE off of a deployment. There is a process of submitting your resignation. I’m not 100% familiar with it but once an officer got back from a deployment they can put in for it.

Not true. He has an ADSO (active duty service obligation) because we paid him hundreds of thousands for training, and cost of living during that training.
You cannot get the school, then whine and cry to get out after you get the training, without paying it back.
With that said, if he really wanted to, the could become a
Conscientious objector where by he would be allowed to server his obligation, without combat action.

He gave away all of his things, saying he was being deployed on the day of the rampage, but he really wasn’t deploying for 2 months. He planned this out way ahead.

He entered the first building, called “attention” (knowing he was an officer, and everyone would immediatly stand)

He then called out “allah akbar” (god is great) and began shooting the standing soldiers

He shot one soldier 3 times, then after the soldier fell, he moved in pain, and was shot a 4th time

After seeing the people fleeing the back door, the shooter went outside to shoot them as they ran away

This mother fucker planned this, used his rank to setup these soldiers, then shot and killed them while screaming god is great… But no, its just an isolated incident.

Maybe true, but the last 2 attacks by service personel, on service personel, were muslim, with very religious underpinnings.
Christians had no problem going to war with christians. Seems this religion has a different idea about shooting those of the same faith, or just like to go and kill some of there own team.

that’s why there is cultural and religious persecution. a ton of people will be greatly offended by this statement regardless of your intentions. unless your intentions are to blow yourself up and take others with you, i don’t care what you do. i do realize just b/c you are muslim you are not a suicide bomber, but considering recent events i’d say keep this to yourself to minimize the drama.
What people don’t understand is Islam is about peace. I wonder what would happen if America would ever become under occupation, where you can’t walk across the street and not be harrased or shot at. Thats why there is Islamic radicals out there.
This guy was harrased, thats why he popped. My cousin was harrased in the military because he was a Muslim too thats why he left. This wasn’t a terrorist act. Hes still sick and didn’t have the right to take people out.
I don’t blame anyone in this thread, because you probably only believe what you hear and read about Islam which is all false and negative statements.
Don’t get me wrong i love America, its the greatest country in the world. Im a proud American but also proud to be a Muslim with nothing but good intentions, because that is what true Islam is about.
No where in the Quran does it say you have to kill others and yourself to go to heaven.
