Free Sleepy Eye Conversion

I was reading up on another forum on how to do a free sleepy eye conversion for 89-93 240’s.

Apparently sleepy eyes can be done but opening up the button on the left of the steering wheel that makes that headlights go up.

Once inside, just use some wire cutters to cut the brown wire. After this is done, you will be able to control the height that the headlights stop by pushing the button twice.

Has anyone on this board tried this method?

And if so, how exactly does it work… I would be interested in trying this on my own car.

its not as easy as just cutting the brown wire either.

u splice a switch into the light green wire…

old news…

Yup same thing i did andrew… im thinking about trying to figure out a way to have the lights work when the sleepy mode is on

just pull the relay!
The lights will stay fixed in the position you have set, on or off. and in case you need them up all the way, just click the raise switch and whoila, the only thing is that you will have to manually reset the light when you want them back down.

Well worth the hassle for 3 minutes worth of work and $0.00 out of pocket expense.

there was a post in tech a while back by Jesse. You wire a switch into the relay so you can have the lights on when they are sleepy.
