…if you can drive to peterborough and help me:rolleyes:
Alright i need someone that is knowledgeable on the S14 Sr, i swapped one into my S13 and I’m having problems.
Id just like you to check things over and possibly help me diagnose the problems I’m having.
Engine cranks over
Injectors not getting 12V power.
Spark to one cylinder :S
I’m getting power to “ecu backup power” pin 58 but not to “ecu power” pin 59.
I’m thinking this is an electrical problem any help is good.
Swaped a different ecu and ignitor no changes.
I live in peterborough sigh
i can offer gas money, beer, steak and lobster dinner you name it.
Just simple question that I need to order to troubleshoot
1- who’s done the wiring? did you use the right diagram?
2- Has the car ever ran since the swap or even started once?
3- when you mean spark on 1 cylinder , do you actually mean that only cylinder 1 is getting spark?
4- Does your fuel pump come on?
Sounds like a wiring problem or a bad harness, Dont swap in a new ECU till you check the whole harness, you could prossibly be frying the ECU’s as you connect them to the car.
guy from Zilvia did my harness, checked out his past seemed to check out fine.
2.No
yeah when i crank the engine i checked for spark and only the cylinder 3rd from the firewall was getting it, but it wasn’t like it was right away either, took a couple cranks to do anything and it still seemed abnormal…
fuel pump comes on fuel goes all the way up until the injectors.
OK so this is what i have come up with, after searching the fsm i found this diagram…
and well since im getting power to pin 58 (red) and no power to 59 Ive concluded that i have hooked something up wrong (green) its not the relay as i have switched one that i know that works…
i followed where the relay goes and its the bunch of wires that go into the wheel well to the front of the car where it meets the fuse box…
there are two plugs off the main harness that i have plugged into two plugs that come from that harness… im not sure what else im missing…
ill help you for a meal aty your parents resurant my car only fires on two cylinders but i can take some time out of my day and help[ you so your car will make it to bings rather then my car better get your ten day soon lol
well im going to check the wires that are in the wheel well and someother wires.
If i cant find anything could i tap into power from say the drivers kick panel or better yet could i not just take the power from pin 58 and wire that directly into my relay.
i mean thats what its doing anyways im just going to cut into the line closer to the ecu, makes sense wouldnt it???,and i wouldnt have to put another fuse in there like i would have to if i got it from the kick panel.
