Anyone pay monthly to keep track? I love it and its prolly the best 18$ a month I’ve ever spent…

the only time Ive ever checked my credit is when the bank does it when Im getting a loan. Otherwise I dont see a need for it.

I don’t think you need to see it every single month but it is definitely a good idea to keep track of your credit. I like to check it a few times a year but I pay everything on time and more than the minimum so my credit is pretty damn high given my age and credit experience. If someone is trying to rebuild their credit I think a tool like that website comes in handy though.

I’ve had it for a couple years and I love it, you get alerts when your name goes through a credit app and it you can keep track to make sure nothing is wrong on your statements.

And credit inquiries hurt your score so having this will give you an idea of your score before you let the bank check it through an application, so you dont waste your time applying when your credit isnt good enough.

My score is very high as well…you get a free one every 18 months per government regulations. That’s the only time I check.

I think I might give it a shot. I dont think I really need it but when it comes to ones credit score $18 a month for peace of mind is money well spent.

my score is 400, its low as hell

well worth it IMO, Plus I put it on my credit card to keep it current cause I dont use credit cards for anything but building credit. I have 2 cards Netflix is on one Freecreditreport is on the other.

FYI…what you see on those sites is not always what the banks actually see. Still worth the minor fee to keep tabs on the majority of it in the long run

I pay the freecreditreport.com stuff and myfico.com.

It was nice seeing my credit score go from a mid-400 up to the 500s, then 600s, and now 700s in just a few years. Good stuff to keep track of, and good tool to use.

i need to get my credit score back in check

MyFICO is the best to use really. Anyone in the banking biz will agree.

Really? if it is I’ll switch over.

getting a score from your bank every 18 months like stated before is the best (and IMO) the only way to get it.

i’ve had customer who have a freecreditreport.com print out from about 3 hours prior sitting at my desk and it being off from there real score by almost 70 points. it’s freecreditREPORT, not freecreditSCORE

the reports can be upto 6 months old and way off

just an FYI

So I should be able to go to my bank and get a free score?

Set up account on myFICO, get score, cancel membership. Thats what I did.

What is the life cycle of a single bad record?

Thought accounts could only stay on your credit report for 7 years.
