i thought if i transferred the plates it would only be one trip to dmv, and it would be worth paying the ins/reg not to go back. boy that plan backfired :banghead

They should get rid of the plate surrender rule.
Bikes don’t have to surrender plates and it’s the easiest thing in the world.
Take them off insurance, keep them on, don’t register them for years, or finally decide to register. Just go online and renew. All registrations expire on the same date too.
If cars were like that there would be little to no hassle.
