fuel lines

hey i have a fuel leak in the steel line right underneath the subframe. For now i am going to cut the line in the middle of the rot, put a fuel injection rubber hose on, put the hose equally over each side of the rot, then clamp it down.

I was just wondering what to use to cut the steel line? thanks for any help/advice.

Hacksaw or use a brake line cutter, you can get one for a few bucks at canadian tire, very easy to use, very handy. Also, make sure to use injection clamps on the rubber fuel line, they are line mini t-bolt clamps.

London, get one of these, it is about the size of a loonie and will get in there nicely. I just went through the exact same thing, just ran lines from about 6" up from where the rust started so you can get a nice clean spot.

Don’t use a hack saw, you will get metal bits into your fuel system, that will surely mess shit up if it somehow gets by your filter.

^^^ That’s the brake line cutter I meant.

Quoted for truth.
I can’t believe someone mentioned using a hacksaw, at least it gave me a good lol.
