fuel pump not priming?

I really have no idea what has happened. My fuel pump does not prime anymore when the key is set to accs.

I can’t think of anything I have done that would effect that either.

Once the car is running everything seems 100% car pulls just as hard as ever with no fuel delivery problems.

does anyone know if by any chance the fuel pump is on the same circuit as the tail lights?

Something also seems to be up with my tail lights I think It was because of water getting in them because I turned my lights on the other night and fuse for the tail lights and interior lights popped.

I have since changed this fuse but the pump still doesn’t prime.

so i thought about it right after i posted its probably just the relay?

althought that may be the problem with the fuel pump my tail lights keep blowing the fuse.

Why would this be? has anyone had this problem before?

I have had this issue with one of our cars - try swapping ECUs as the “timer” function ( priming of the fuel pump) is controlled by it. In our case that is all it turned out to be after spending numerous hours checking everything else.
