Your best bet is to get in with another car club. I went with Toyotanation a couple times last year, and there always seems to be clubs looking for more people. Check some other boards, and you should be able to find a few.
I went tracking with TN before and it was sloppy as hell, that was about a year back now but man the could not keep things organized at all… hell a car flipped over and a cocky idiot in a civic passed me at the apex of a corner :evil:
If we got TN involved they’d be playing by our rules and they better damn well follow it
Wow thats horrible… When I was out with them they certainly werent the most organized bunch, and there were a few idiots, but I never felt unsafe. Anyways, my point was there are usually various clubs around (and hopefully some better organized ones) that will still accept cars. Toronto Subaru Club goes a couple times a year I believe, and theyre generally a good bunch.
Mike Josh and I went lapping with them last fall as well. I found it to be very unorganized. And yes, I had a civic trying to pass me on the outside of a corner as well.
Considering it was a toyota nation day, there was only one toyota, an AE, all the rest were civics.
Heh heh well I guess experience speaks for itself, there are a few other things I could add to the list of things that have gone wrong with that one event in particular. Spite (Jake) wrote about how he was worried about attending track days because he was afriad of the safety of his car and himself. This is what a wrote about the event, not exactly the most convincing word on TN’s lapping day and an ever worst example of how a lapping day works.
Well to be very honest here, I’ll have quite abit of money by the end of the summer and I would be glad to put down the first 1500 dollars deposit for a full track day. (although if someone wants to help out you know… feel free to!)
I dont see there being a problem with getting enough people out and after Phillips track day Im sure there will be many people anxious to get back on the track for one last time before the season is over.
but we’ll see, I’d like to turn it into something big.
