hey guys i dont know how the racing world works but what types of events allow you to race your car against others say like shannonville where you dont have to slow down for others and flash your hazards and where you are allowed to pass each other on the corners and fly by each other however you like responsibly ? where people have common sense and dont need to be spaced out evenly to avoid retard collisions ? doesnt have to be 240 only and drift or grip… just… racing… let me in on this… thanks 8)
I don’t know about you… but unless you have a deep wallet and a daily driver, I would never consider this with a street car. Do you really trust racing against complete strangers? You’d have no idea of their driving habits or skills.

yea no track events are ever like that… too much liability…
i sure as hell would NEVER do that kind of thing with 3/4 the people on this board neways… wayyyy to sketch…
#1 thing is do you have any track experience… thats key… if you havnt… then why on EARTH would you want to lap WITH people… id want as much space as possible so i could practice if i were in that situation.
no matter what you think you can do on the street… you dont know anything on a track.

Seeing how were on the subject, where do you sign up for solo one? What specs does your car need for lapping days/solo one? What are the costs involved to participate? And I’m guessing insurance does not cover any trak accidents for if worse comes to worse and you smash into someone your responsible to pay for their damages right?

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ^^^^
insurance will not cover you for lapping accidents… and generally people will take their plates off when running a day.

i never said im good on the street, no matter how good you are on the street, its no use on the track, thats why i wanna go to track, time attacks and lapping alone are getting boring thats all, only way to get good at racing is to race against others on the track, racing alone and taking your line is only a part of racing… thats all, thats why i was wondering.
edit: and i’ve done lapping, doesnt excite me too much

i know. im just stating a fact thats all.
youll need a track car to race against others tho… i highly doubt anyone is willing to race door to door with you in a daily driven car…

Vlad, lapping days never get boring. Unless you are a Pro, you have alot more to learn.
If you are interested in lapping days, battle endless has full track shannonville at least once a month starting in may I believe.
OMSC has track days on Mosport DDT all summer as well as a one other track IIRC.
Talk to me on MSN later,
Andrew.
OMSC, more info please, mosport is a sexy track lol.
go to lapping days where there is no drifting, you’ll find a bunch of people pass in corners and you can have some pretty crazy battles iwth cars. it gets really exciting. Even though you’re not supposed to pass in a corner technically it does happen if you’r ein a hot battle with another car and you finally get the opportunity to pass. its pretty exciting.
Talk to Sasha, I think he’s racing GT this year. As in the series.
that is exactly what i want
battle endless days are pretty good from what i hear
there were a few fun battles at the tires23 day
just make sure hte slower guys know you’re passing them if you’re doing it on a short straight or on the outside of a corner or something like that. As long as they know you’re there most of the time they’ll let you by.
It also helps to be buddy buddy wit hteh organizer, so if you DO drive like a jackass, he wont kick you out
