So last night my g/f of 10 months tells me she is going to Disney World to work for 7 months. :greddy2: Its through the school she goes to I guess. So shes going to live down there and work 35-45 hours a week making a shitty $6.25hr and has to pay $75-85 a week for the place shes staying at. For what reason?? She told me cause it will look good on my resumme when I graduate college. hahahaha So I guess a teacher at her college told her this and she believes it but how the hell would having that I worked at Disney World help anyone get a job. Then when I told her that I guess were breaking up she started crying and was like why. I’m not gonna sit around and wait for her.
And on X-mas eve when I went to pick up my extra pay my work owed me, they told me they could no longer pay me as much as they were and to go look for a new job. Fuck them. I went in today and I’m not going back tommorow. No wonder I drink everday.
Any extended work experience that you can show responsibility for getting up everyday and going to work and not getting fired or missing work with good references is a benefit to your resume.
yep, and if it has something to do with your major its even better.
I went and did that UCLA thing, got 450 a week plus R/B. sure it didn’t make me rich, but putting that on my resume helps me better then i ever thought. its a great conversation piece in an interview, also it makes them remember me better.
$6.25 So that’s what like $200 after takes. Take off about $80 a week for the place to stay and about $70 a week for food and you have about $50 a week spending money and you have to be away from friends and family for 7 months.
ya well i guess u didnt really like her or u prob. would have waited for her…idk…but do what u wish…its understanding that u dont want to wait around…but idk…i would not really want to work at disney land…any job there would prob. suck…
