i was on my way home and then i heard a noise and then i noticed that the car sounded like it was misfiring really badly. sounded like i was running on only 1 cylinder, i had to keep the pedal floored in 2nd gear just to STAY at 50kmh . it wouldnt go up there was definitely no more powrer and then when i got home, i could smell all this weird stuff and i noticed all these flames coming out from my exhuast and my exhuast was glowing on the inside for a REALLY long time…
just a thought, i cant explain the long flame, but i can explain an example of a flame. BUT one day, while i was driving, my alternator went.
Symptons- not much power in the car, felt like it was running on one maybe 2 cylinders, and LOTS, i mean LOTS of flames were comming out of my exhaust. my advice to u, check all ur electrical, battery, alternator, grounds etc, and all ur plugs/wires/ cap and rotor

Didn’t someone have their Coil fail recently and it produced similar results?
If it was running on only a few cylinders there would be a LOT of gas spewing out of the back of the car and that would cause the fire etc like what rob described.

WOW, I’ve had some fireballs come shooting out of my exhaust but nothing like yours hahaha, dude that sucks. I hope it doesn’t need expensive repairs to fix the problem, good luck bro.
