Gas Mileage

600KM/tank

stock s14, KA with pointless full 3inch exhast.

And if you guys are wondering about the recent decrease in gas milage, the gas companies are adding somthing like 15% ethanol into the mix for enviromental purposes, bottom line; ECUs arent tuned for the new gas.

fuel mileage update:

after using 2 treatments of the lucas fuel system treatment, my mileage is so much better.
on a full tank of gas, on a stock KA w/ bad o2 sensor, i am getting 660km on a full tank

yeh KA’s are very good on gas.

when i had my KA, i averaged 650km on a tank

i’ll be happy if i can even hit 300 now on SR

W T F?

is the mileage really that bad on your SR? how high is your boost? and fuel pressure?

Woot… been getting 8L/100km with the slushbox accord…

Theoretically able to get 800km to the 64L tank… :D:D:D

its the heavy feet.

boost stock, fuel pressure near stock

Would an auto affect fuel consumption, since there is onlly the 4th gear and your cruising on the highway and faster roads at 4kRPM usually…

yes, auto sucks more for fuel milage, thatz why everyone in europe drives standard… especially when gas is over $2/litre over there

You should see the junk in my trunk… got the entire 5 speed swap sitting in there…

240kms per tank in the stock KA vert.

500kms per tank in the KA-T coupe.

WTF.

Might wanna pop out your injectors and send them out to be cleaned and flow tested… eurodrive does

As for me… I can get 480-500km a tank with (91) or 550km with (94) both are city driving with the odd expressway run. Car is running @ 9psi and un-tuned…

I’ve been thinking about it and wondering if I can get the milage any higher… I’ve already got a fresh oil change + filter, + fuel filter and air filter. O2 sensor is the stocker from japan and I’ve put 30,000km on it so I’ve wondered if getting a new O2 would add some milage… Only other thing I could think of was once I install my wideband/SAFC2 by leaning it out a bit that would help increase milage as you’d use less fuel…

One thing I would like to add thou is Turbo size… if you have a small ass turbo which is spooling at low RPMS, you’ll use more fuel up since the Turbo is always spooling… once I changed to a bigger turbo, the turbo wouldnt spool under 3000rpm and I instantly noticed my fuel milage go up…

I was wondering if anyone could tell me how much mileage they get on a Stock S14 SR20DET (Blacktop).
