I just switched from All-State which I was paying $150/month for my M with full coverage to GEICO with the same coverages + rental reimbursement and my premium went from $150/month to $70/month.
yeah my buddy switched from allstate to geico saved a ton of money til gieco would honor his claim… needless to say he is back with allstate! good luck with that ill stick with allstate.
GEICO raised my 6 month premium for my car from $380 to $500 for absolutely no reason, I call them up and ask why the increase, they simply said it is a general increase across the board. I switch to Allstate immediately, for a low quote and saved $290 on my home insurance. Just did a defensive driving course and got another $35 off my 6 months premium.
Going to switch my bike from Progressive to them, just got a quote from them which is $40 lower than my current $200/yr policy with the same coverage.
Bingo…might be saving money in the short term, but go compare your policies. I’d rather pay a bit more, and know i’m 150% covered. and i’m not talking about the collision shit. I’m talking about the bastard that sues you for 5 million because you ran over his prize winning front lawn while trying to avoid the drunk driver who damn near clipped you head on.
I have eSurance. They’re cheap, and I have made several claims, all of which were painless and I was provided with awesome communication and customer service.
I switched from Progressive to Allstate. Saved 50%. They didnt like my record and kicked me off 30 days later. Back to a new policy on Progressive, same price as Allstate. :rofl
i was with GEICO from 2003- october 2005. made a claim. rates went way up. i was paying 150$ more a month. i left and joined Allstate. my Allstate rates were about 25$ a month LESS than my ORIGINAL GEICO policy.
currently have zero deductible and great coverage and customer service. no complaints with allstate at all.
Seriously. I was paying $95 a month for two cars… shit jumped to 184 a month… Yeah Im in the middle of the online defensive driving course, then going to pay this months premium and look elsewhere I think.
Paying monthly for something you hope you never use?
And when you do use it, it starts costing you more monthly again.
Did you know that if insurance pays you out more the $1000 in NYS (proposed being raised to $2000) it goes on your record as your fault regardless of what actually happened? I just got my abstract and when the Miata got totalled it’s listed as at fault accident and that’s when the agent explained it to me and showed me the article.
