Waaattt?
I pay 496 for 6 months, on an 04 Grand am w/ no collision… comprehensive w/ glass… Progressive
No accidents on report (there was one that I was in, but was declared no fault to me and it doesn’t even show on my record thinger)
w/ defensive driver course, and 22.
Credit is ~770-750 depending on which last I checked (last month)
I tried Geico the other day actually, and they want like 480/6mo without Comprehensive. After comp was added it came to like 590/6mo.
I had geico for like 5 years. Then when I was looking to get a subie they wanted way to much. Stopped by an allstate one day and got quoted like $450 less every 6 months.
2 pages and still no “fuck geico!!! Woman crashed into me and they don’t wanna cover it!!!” posts. I heard Geico is notorious for not standing behind their customers.
No actually… Its something that most people expect from a company and its what GEICO delivers. Whether you like GEICO or not I could care less. I’ve had them for 6 years and I work for them. So yes, I do enjoy being with the company. I only posted on this thread to let people know that GEICO does offer great rates and to let people know about the new discount on their auto if they own a home and get the insurance through GEICO.
The company hires its counselors based on core values that they already posses and then develops those values to meet the needs of the customers. I pride myself on providing excellent customer service every single day to every single customer that I speak with.
I guess its great you think that way from your managers perspective, but holy shit, do you honestly speak like that in person? talk about brain washing.
jimmy try Esurance.com, i like it cause you do everything online, even print out your own id cards after you make up a policy… They were alot cheaper than gieco, progressive, state farm and allstate for me
haha oh man, someone took their 6 interviews very seriously. That’s cool though, I’d rather deal with customer service reps that seemingly give a fuck about the service they’re supporting.
You can give a shit and not be weird. I do basically the same job but for a mortgage company. If you are a decent person I will do what ever it takes (hell, if the call is more than 6 or 7 mins long I’ll even break rules to help, lol)
I work with people who are way too over zealous and it’s obvious they are lifers. Someone has to do it I guess
I originally had Progressive when I first started driving since they were the only ones who wanted to insure a 50 year old Jeep with a 17 year old driver. A few years later I switched to Geico and saved about $800 a year. About 5 years ago I switched to All State, put full coverage on my dually, still have my Jeep on it, and upped my coverage to 250,000/500,000 from 100,000/300,000 which i had with Geico and still saved $200 a year. to All State in my case.
oh man how long have you worked there for?
if less than a year you will def be singing a different tune soon lol.
i worked there for just over 11 months and it was fucking brutal. customer service is THE WORST. but maybe thats why there are like 95% females there…maybe they are just better at putting up with the typical asshole geico customer from nyc/nj on the phone.
Geico’s service is great. The 3 accidents I’ve been in, all of which not my fault, they have helped me more then I expected from expediting repairs, to rentals, and even follow up calls to more sure I was happy.
My only experience with Geico came after being hit by a girl when I had my 98 Lumina. They got me right into a shop, got it looked at, and cut me a check before I left. So far so good, but it was also 100% her fault, so I had no worries.
I have nationwide. Always have. Have my car and my house through it. Not sure what I am paying at the moment since it’s auto-pay, but I do know it’s full coverage on the acura.
I don’t have anything bad to say about Geico; they’ve done good by me through any claims I’ve had. Hell, the adjuster who quoted my truck when it got broken into helped me out a TON. I had a check 4 days after it happened; went to the junk yard and got the parts I needed myself and pocketed a HUGE chunk of change.
Any other claim, or dealing with that I’ve had as always been good; extra week rental when my car got totalled, and they were going to give me another week if I still couldn’t find anything to replace my car with.
