Genesis Development

That’s quite a pickup from a mere bolt on inlet system. Definite potential bottled up in the car. Plans for the G6DB engine as welll?

this car is speed density?

Yeah, no maf sensor, we may get into the 6 cylinder down the road, all depends on the availability of a car. Next we will be working on the intercooler, the factory cooler is one of the more pathetic parts ive seen.

Nice work so far!

i was gonna ask the same… can’t recall a modern car that doesn’t have a maf for air metering…

good work though, car looks good for a hyundai, although the back looks quite a bit like a g35.

time to go with a nice Garrett core.

the G35 was seemingly a big hit. gotta have a something to follow along with. other lines were compared to the G37. alot of hyundais styling on the genesis coupe and sedan have been linked to other marques. it happens

that “for a hyundai” or “for xxxxx” is one of the biggest pet peeves i have. the car is a good looking car i think, regardless of the manufacturer.

im happy to see you guys tuning one of these, since i first heard about them ive been curious about what they can do, i mean for $22-24k brand new a 2.0T RWD isnt bad at all. Cant wait to see what you guys can do to her

Damn the car coming along nicely Morgan

Intercooler kit all finished, next is a stock replacement manifold and then our t3 twin-scroll setup.

Here is the info on the kit:

The SynapseTurbo Genesis Intercooler Kit is the only intercooler you will ever have to buy. First we use the best intercooler cores available, a Garrett core measuring 24x8x3.5, the same core we have made over 600whp with! Next we designed a pair of endtanks not only esthetically pleasing, but which perform even better than they looks. The endtanks are swept from top to bottom to utilize the efficiently of the entire core, and they are tapered from side to side, one for efficiency and two for fitment. Even though we have chosen a potent core, the kit utilizes the factory crash beam and doesn’t require any trimming of the front bumper or plastics! You just purchased a new car, why cut it apart? The kit also includes your choose of polished or powder coated 2.5" aluminum hand TIG welded charge piping and high quality silicone couplers. All pieces are carefully crafted by hand in our U.S. facility, no cheap overseas parts here!
The kit includes:
-1 SynapseTurbo Intercooler
-2 Radiator Brackets
-1 Power steering bracket
-7 Silicone Couplers
-14 T-bolt clamps
-5 Charge Pipes
-1 Intercooler mounting kit with hardware

This thread is making me want a Hyundai, thats something I never thought Id say. When are you going to dyno it with the new intercooler kit?

looks real good :thumbup
what kind of power to you expect to make w/ the twin scroll?
also, what are you using for ems?

also, if your going to use that paragraph on your website, there are a couple spelling errors, just FYI

We would like to see 400whp+ with a great powerband for the twinscroll setup. We are waiting for haltechs pnp engine management for that to happen. Thanks for the heads up I tend to write these when I am half a sleep.

good looking stuff, its nice to see a local shop going out of their way to be ahead of the market. that was the problem with the shop i used to work at the boss didnt want to try new things.

Great work Morgan and the rest of Synapse! Top notch as usual!

No it actually wouldnt be.

Looks great as usual…very interested to see the twinscroll manifold!

Dyno pull with charge pipe and IC plz

That’s next on the list, maybe later today…

We finished up the stock replacement manifold and did a quick test at the same time. The only thing changed is the manifold, both test are at stock boost levels with no tuning.
