Getting a totalled car road worthy?

Since theres no takers on buying my sister’s totalled out Spec-V…I think I might just pick it up and add it to my list of to-do’s.

Anyone know the process or what is involved to get a totalled car back to road worthy?

I dont mean what needs to be fixed on her car. I mean like what paper work must be done? Must it be inspected by a certain person/shop? Is it extra $$$ to get the car back to being ok to put on the road.

PM and see if he has any info for you

Ive looked into it, here in NY you have to bring the car to a dmv location that will inspect the car for you to give you a valid title. Most people say that you will have to wait anywere from 2weeks-2months for your appointment. The inspection they do is just to varify that all VIN’s match or that you can provide valid recipts for the parts you put on the car.
