ya those aluminum parts can be found all over ebay for .99 then 4 shipping… but it adds up. the WORK rims i got for my car were 16 each. or you could go on ebay and buy the shitty ones that break at 50mph on ebay for 2 for 16.
a buddy of mine is into the old school r/c’s that are way cooler…
hes got some 4x4’s that are worth over 2 grand, and theya re badass, full interior, looks like a working model of the real thing, driveshaft and diff’s like the fullsize truck and all of that etc etc
those are cool r/c’s i only had the new hpi stuff tho, and i bought ALLLLLLL this crap for them and they really didnt do much better than the stock versions, when upgrading everything other than the tires and motor it doesnt do shit LOL
The amount mods ‘help’ is directly related to the chassis you’re starting out with.
I was going to start with a TT01 but a TB02D is basically a bucket chassis TB Evo III…which is based on the TT01…so basically my car is a TT01 with most of the ‘cool’ mods done (oil shocks, alum. DS, other blue crap, etc.)
You put oil shocks on a TT01 for $30 and you can DEFINITELY tell the difference.
Hpi and traxxas have the best support for mods. IMO. one of the reasons why i never got a team oshi or RC10GT
Yeah, thats what it was! I fried the thing and had to send it back to them. They claimed it could handle the 10T but it didn’t… That thing was wicked fast, had an 7-cell pack in it that I made…

I am big into the RS4 nitro cars. I have been building mine up a bit, but it just sits here on my shelf. It’s kinda something I just waste my money on when I get bored of everything else.

no 5 years ago they didnt have shit for models back then.(well they had stuff, but not like they do today) and i was comparing losi vs hpi back then. hpi had more to offer (more stuff to waste money on) I have Losi/assoiiated/traxxas/hpi/team oshi parts books(everything they sold) from 2003-present. ill drop them off some time if you want them.

Had a Novak 4300 BL, bunch of matched 3500s from my carpet days.
Jeff, it’s the Racer-2. I tossed on a T15 motor with a new anodized head. I prefer the belt drive more then the shaft driven ones for some reason.
I still have 4 other RS4’s all in parts, lol.
