Girls car is back under the knife.

Awesome job, Mike.

Yeah once it is up and running I am going to make a new intake mani with the TB on the other side. At the moment I am really happy with the fitment of the big 3" pipes going to the pass side right now… it was good practice for my fab skillz. Not to mention, total lenght from compressor to TB is still more than HALF the lenght of a standard FMIC.

Yeah I took the pully off and put the stocker back on. Again, next round of upgrades might be the fluidamper.

Thanks VOT! hopefully I can get it running and take you for a rip next week!

Awesome

damn this thing is gunna look sick mad nice setup

good luck

look? who cares about looks. i want to hear how it sounds roaring around and how hard that pulls when u get into the fast pedal

Thanks bud! Yeah I wanted to do something a little different that all the other big turbo VW builds.

It will only roar with the cutout open. :lol The rest of the time… it will be quiet, well except for the turbo itself! I cant wait

looks good mike cant wait to see it runing.

Thanks bud!

We got a little more done last night. Fuel lines are all done, Charge pipes are coated and installed, IC Core mounts were painted and installed. Mostly spent time dicking with the god damn wastegate placement and figuring out how to route the recirc piping. Such a simple task in my head, but a major pain in the ass to get to fit right. I think I came up with a good way to make it a 2 piece setup so if I am off a little bit on the first piece tacking it in the cramped engine compartment, I can still make the second piece on the bench and it will work fine… and in my head it will actually flow better! hehe.

Went to run the oil return with the new flanges i got, and I pictured in my head that i would need a 90 for the oil pan flange, but nope… you need a straight. so a trip to Shako is needed.

Mostly Jim, and my brother worked on a un disclosed side project for the car… results will be posted but not talked about until then… I need to make some things with this project a suprise.

i want to hear it with the cut out open, spewing out flames

Mee too… I cant wait to see the look on the face of the guy here at work that swears that his new SS will blow my doors off… Hemi-schmemi. lol

i will be renting slicks for next year. my car will in deep hibernation.

Wat you talkin about Willis?

my gti probably wont be out next year. but ill still have my slicks mounted up. when youre ready for your man pants! ill have good rates for them.

Ohh i follow… Thanks for the offer… I know your game plan though… you want to see snapped axles. :rofl JK man.

maybe youll luck out. but if not, they will break without slicks.

O2M FTW… i think my car hung a valve open = :ohnoes

I think your cars scared of mine… it heard about the build and is skeeerd. :rofl Nah really, I hope you didnt jack your shit up.

not worried about it at all… itll be back eventually, again, not worried about it… when you snap axles/strip 3rd/4th gear youre gonna wish you took my advice and got an 02M. :shifty

and a little “oh by the way” for 450whp, youre gonna need more than a stock smallport head/stock intake manifold… port matched smallport + APR or SEM might get you to the low 4’s

but traps tell the story. if youre in the 400 range youll be doing 120+ in the 1/4

i only did 118.xx with a valve issue :frowning:

Looks like a good build.

I have that vag-com. You wanna meet up this weekend or later this week?.Sorry didnt call you back, crazy weekend
